Thrilled by Madness (Completed Main Story) - Chapter 21
Strong attraction inevitably comes with its share of conflict.
Yet, unaware that the root of his inner resentment was love, Seo Jun decided to stop this pointless emotional drain.
Stranded in a place he couldn’t leave or arrive at without a car, he told himself it was none of his business whether Eom So Yeon called a taxi, walked endlessly toward town, or did anything else—until he happened to watch her through the window as she headed into the woods.
Why did she have to go that way when there was a well-maintained path right there? She seemed to have chosen a shortcut leading to the main road, but unfortunately, the direction she took led deep into mountainous terrain surrounded by sheer cliffs.
After confirming that the bag he’d given her still sat untouched on the dining chair, Seo Jun found himself trailing Eom So Yeon through the dark, rugged forest before he even realized it.
Soon after, when So Yeon nearly tripped and bent her body in half with a sigh, Seo Jun decided he’d watched enough and moved toward her.
Startled by his presence, So Yeon shrieked and sank onto the ground, muttering loudly to herself. She kept shouting words that clearly wouldn’t work no matter how hard she tried, and Seo Jun couldn’t help but laugh.
Yet, up close, her face told a different story. Though naturally beautiful and not unattractive even in distress, her suddenly pale, weary expression tugged at his heart.
Gently adjusting his grip on So Ye’s hand, Seo Jun spoke.
“Maybe you should’ve just let me take the hit.”
“I didn’t know it was you, sir!”
No one had pushed her—she’d run off on her own and gotten lost. Frightened out of her wits, she’d even raised a hand to strike a man. How ridiculous and pitiful she must have looked. Not wanting to appear even more pathetic, So Yeon jerked her hand away from him.
“Why’d you have to follow me and scare me like that?”
“We came together, so we’ll leave together.”
But Seo Jun grasped her hand firmly again—tight, as if he’d never let go a second time.

My Step-brother Is Obsessed With Me (Female-dominant)
A gentle female protagonist vs pitiful in the early stage, and a sick male protagonist in the later stage
Cheng Songer transmigrated into the body of a vicious cannon fodder female supporting character with the same name as her in a female-dominant novel.
In the original story, the cannon fodder female supporting character was inhumane, committing domestic violence, gambling excessively, being lustful, and even wanting to sell her stepbrother to a brothel for money.
As luck would have it, she just happened to transmigrate at this time.
Seeing Cheng Qingzhi biting his lip, enduring the tears in his eyes, looking pitiful, her heart softened.
She stuffed the money back into the Madam’s hand and reached out to him.
“Brother, come home with me.”
