Damion deliberately replied in a light tone, ensuring that Ansi would perceive those words as nothing more than simple praise.

“Yes, that was when you were young, wasn’t it?”

The Duke, who had been steadily sipping whiskey beside them, chuckled softly.

“Even as a child, you stood out from the rest. Everyone envied our family because Cardian and Damion each resembled us so closely.”

“Hehe, that’s right.”

Her voice, tinged slightly with intoxication, carried a nostalgic warmth.
