The World Star Who Seduced Me (Completed Main Story) - Chapter 7
A few days later, Yeo Woong headed to the film company for her role audition. As soon as she stepped inside, an employee—apparently forewarned—led her straight to the conference room.
Opening the door, she found a young man, another man who unmistakably looked like a director, and Seol Ji Oh seated inside.
Yeo Woong was slightly startled to see Seol Ji Oh but quickly brightened her voice and greeted them cheerfully. After all, energy is a performer’s lifeblood.
“Hello. I’m Yeo Woong.”
“Yes. Please have a seat.”
A man who seemed around Yeo Woong’s age spoke in a businesslike tone. As she pulled out a chair and sat, the director stared intently at her, as if studying her face.
Though a bit nervous, Yeo Woong concealed it and flashed a bright smile.
But wait—his face looked familiar. Who was he again…?
While Yeo Woong sifted through her memory, the director spoke first.
“You look better in person than in your photos.”
“Oh—thank you.”
Resting his chin in his hand, the director flipped through Yeo Woong’s audition profile page by page.
“You’ve been in the industry for… eight years. Lead roles you’ve played… Hmm.”
Yeo Woong bit her lip, self-conscious about her sparse filmography relative to her experience. The director raised an eyebrow and turned to the man beside him.
“Ji Wook, the camera.”
At the director’s single word, the man next to him aimed the camera at Yeo Woong. Instantly, her face appeared clearly on the large TV screen mounted on the wall. The director glanced at the screen and said to her,
“Could you read the script on the table? Start whenever you’re ready.”
Yeo Woong carefully picked up the script. After taking a deep breath, she quickly skimmed the text to grasp its emotional arc.
Her lines began with the direction: “Shout angrily.” She steadied her breath and started acting.
“Do you even know how big the contract I lost today because of you was? But what really drives me crazy is—none of that even registers in your eyes!”
“Ms. Cha Yeon Joo.”
Seol Ji Oh read the other character’s line. Yeo Woong heightened her breath, amplifying her emotion as she continued.
“I like you! I’m telling you—I like you! Does that even make sense?”
Suddenly, the director cut her off.
“Oh, that’s good. But could you try it with a different feeling?”
Yeo Woong blinked and reread the lines.
If not that interpretation… maybe tone down the emotion a bit.
She quickly memorized the brief lines and set down the script. Facing the camera, she began again.
“What really drives me crazy is—none of that even registers in your eyes!”
“Ms. Cha Yeon Joo.”
Yeo Woong looked toward Seol Ji Oh. She saw him watching her with a completely expressionless face.
For a moment, Yeo Woong froze as if struck by a sudden revelation. Her eyes trembled slightly, and an involuntary laugh escaped her lips.
After a brief silence, she delivered her line not to her scene partner, but as if speaking to herself.
“I like you. I’m telling you—I like you. Does… that even make sense?”
Even after she finished, the director kept his chin propped in his hand, staring at Yeo Woong. Uncomfortable under his intense gaze, she gave an awkward smile.
“Hmm… Shall we try the next line?”
After that, Yeo Woong read several more lines, and each time, the director watched her with an unreadable expression.
Am I even doing this right?
She kept glancing at Seol Ji Oh during the audition. Although he merely spoke his lines without extra words, just seeing his familiar face seemed to ease her nerves slightly.
After about an hour, the director finally smiled—the first time—just as he was about to say they were done.
“Good job. I was worried you’d be nervous, hearing you’re a huge fan of Seol Ji Oh.”
“Huh?”
For a moment, Yeo Woong stared at the director, doubting her ears.
A huge fan of Seol Ji Oh…? Who? Me?
“I wanted an actor who’s genuinely a fan of Seol Ji Oh to play the stalker role. And as it happened, Seol Ji Oh recommended you.”
Yeo Woong blinked in confusion and glanced at Seol Ji Oh, who simply shrugged his shoulders once.
Flustered, she asked,
“Oh—Director, so this role is… a stalker of Seol Ji Oh?”
“Well, not exactly a stalker—more like a character with intense obsession. Kind of a ‘Misery’ type, you know?”
Yeo Woong mentally replayed the lines she’d just performed. No wonder every line was solely about the male lead…

Feeling somehow tricked, she stared at Seol Ji Oh—when the director suddenly asked,
“Have you ever had unrequited love?”
Yeo Woong blinked and searched her memory. Among her few romantic experiences, had there even been any unrequited love? Since nothing came to mind immediately, she probably hadn’t.
“No.”
“Really? Because your acting was pretty convincing.”
The director straightened up and looked directly at Yeo Woong.
“I like you, Yeo Woong. Honestly, you weren’t what I originally had in mind, but watching you, I started seeing the character clearly. Ji Wook, what do you think?”
“…Not bad.”
Yeo Woong looked at the man who’d been speaking to the camera. He’d barely said anything else throughout the audition besides replies.
She tilted her head slightly—his words said “not bad,” but his expression certainly didn’t agree.
Noticing her gaze, the director quickly added,
“That means he likes it. Ji Wook’s just a bit socially awkward. Anyway, let me introduce you: I’m Byeon Ju Ho—I wrote and am directing this film. And that’s Min Ji Wook, our cinematographer. His social skills might be lacking, but he shoots actresses beautifully, so look forward to it.”
“Oh! Yes!”
Only now did Yeo Woong match his face to the name—and her eyes widened in shock.
D- Director Byeon Ju Ho!
Byeon Ju Ho was the acclaimed director who’d won an international Academy Award for Best Picture a few years back, sparking huge buzz. Under the table, Yeo Woong tightly clasped her hands.
Oh my god—I’m going to be in Director Byeon Ju Ho’s film?
She didn’t yet know how significant her character “Cha Yeon Joo” would be in the story, but just appearing in this film would undoubtedly mark a major milestone in her filmography.
Suddenly, her heart started pounding wildly.
“We won’t start shooting for a while—we haven’t even cast the female lead yet. Anyway, I’m glad to meet you, Yeo Woong.”
Director Byeon Ju Ho extended his hand as if to say “let’s work well together.” Yeo Woong stood up and shook it.
“It’s an honor, Director. Thank you.”
She gave a respectful bow. The director then began gathering his things, signaling she could leave. Seol Ji Oh, who’d been seated beside him, also rose.
“I’ll head in now as well.”
“Oh. Actor Seol—see you again.”
Yeo Woong politely bowed once more before exiting the conference room.
Overwhelmed with joy, she barely suppressed the urge to jump up and down right there. Just to be sure she wasn’t dreaming, she gently pinched her cheek.
“Will that be enough?”
Startled by the sudden voice, Yeo Woong jumped and turned around. Seol Ji Oh was looking down at her with his usual indifferent gaze and long eyes.
She blinked, staring back at him.
Truthfully, Seol Ji Oh was the reason she’d gotten this audition—so she owed him a huge debt. But there was one thing bothering her.
“How did I… suddenly become a huge fan of Seol Ji Oh?”
“The director asked, and you came to mind. I had no choice but to recommend you.”
“Oh… You could’ve warned me first. I was pretty confused earlier.”
“So you dislike it?”
“Huh?”
Seol Ji Oh stepped into the arriving elevator first. With a look that clearly meant “Aren’t you coming?”, Yeo Woong quickly followed, and he pressed the close button.
“Shouldn’t you be thanking me? I got you recommended for Director Byeon Ju Ho’s film—of all films.”
He was right. This wasn’t just any movie—it was Byeon Ju Ho’s. Yeo Woong had landed an incredible opportunity.
Realizing she hadn’t properly thanked him yet, she turned and bowed to Seol Ji Oh.
“Thank you.”
Seol Ji Oh let out a deflated chuckle.
“Such a formal bow. Anyway, starting today, try being a fan of Seol Ji Oh. Once you read the script, you’ll understand—your character loves the male lead way, way too much.”
Loves him way too much?
Yeo Woong looked up at Seol Ji Oh with a blank expression. Director Byeon’s earlier comment about the character being “deeply obsessive” suddenly echoed in her mind, and her lips parted slightly as she finally realized—
In this film, she’d have to act as if she were madly in love with Seol Ji Oh. To the point of obsession.
Seeing Yeo Woong’s dazed expression, Seol Ji Oh lifted the corner of his mouth.
“Do you think you can genuinely like me?”
“Huh?”
“Do you think the director randomly asked for an actor who’s my fan? He wants to see real affection—the look in your eyes, your gestures, your trembling, your hidden longing. Only then will the audience believe your character’s actions.”

Yeo Woong’s expression turned serious. Just then, the elevator reached the underground parking lot. Seol Ji Oh stepped out first and looked back at her, still standing inside.
“Cha Yeon Joo isn’t just a crazy woman. She’s a woman in love. And you have to portray that.”
Yeo Woong silently stared at Seol Ji Oh’s logical explanation. It made sense—but a strange resentment stirred within her. Stepping out of the elevator, she approached him and asked,
“So you’re telling me to actually fall for you?”
Seol Ji Oh’s dark eyes fixed on her. Surprisingly, his expression held a trace of pure curiosity.
“Why not?”
“Huh?”
“Isn’t that something you can do—for acting’s sake?”
Yeo Woong suddenly felt confused.
Fall genuinely in love with a co-star just for acting? Why?
She couldn’t understand. A performance was a performance—acting was acting.
Why should an actor’s real emotions be consumed too? Did Seol Ji Oh, who’d starred in over ten films, passionately fall in love with every single co-star?
“Is that your secret to great acting—actually falling in love?”
Seol Ji Oh let out a soft laugh at Yeo Woong’s sharp tone. Clearly, this retort had caught him off guard. Smirking, he replied,
“Pretty much.”
Yeo Woong’s jaw dropped.
“Pretty much”?
So with that actress he worked with recently too? And the one before her? And the one before that…?
“Want me to help?”
Snapped out of her private shock by Seol Ji Oh’s lazy question, Yeo Woong furrowed her brow, failing to immediately grasp his meaning.
Help with what?
“Help you fall for me? It’s not that hard.”
For a moment, Yeo Woong thought she’d misheard. She gaped at him, utterly dumbfounded.
What did he just say?
Sounded like a movie line.
Shaking her head with a weak laugh, Yeo Woong began to protest—when Seol Ji Oh stepped closer.
“…?”
Yeo Woong’s eyes widened as his shadow loomed nearer. With clear intent, Seol Ji Oh had already closed the distance between them.
They say when people are too shocked, they lose their words.
Unable to speak, Yeo Woong instinctively stepped backward—until her head hit the wall with a soft thud. There was nowhere left to retreat.
“…”
Seol Ji Oh said nothing, just stared at her. His dark eyes pinned her in place, leaving her no escape. Unconsciously, Yeo Woong swallowed hard. His face, now so close, was overwhelmingly intense.
Wait… what is he trying to do right now?
Unable to breathe properly, she could only blink rapidly. After watching her flustered reaction, Seol Ji Oh finally let a small smile tug at his lips.
Then he lifted a hand and gently placed it atop her head. At that exact moment, Yeo Woong’s heart plummeted straight into her stomach.
“You’re even prettier up close.”
Yeo Woong felt her heartbeat accelerate—and at the same time, she finally understood Seol Ji Oh’s ulterior motive.

Her handsome and extremely powerful fiancé Li Qing comforted her: “It’s okay if you can’t remember. I’ll always be with you.”
Everyone thought Dong Xia’s ancestors must have burned incense to get such a perfect fiancé. He was the number one person in the immortal realm, yet he remained chaste and only loved her.
…
The day before marrying her fiancé, Dong Xia finally remembered everything.
She wasn’t suffering from memory loss at all.
Her arch-enemy had made her fake her death, destroyed her cultivation, replaced her memories, and pretended to be her deeply in love fiancé.
No wonder he said, “It’s okay if you can’t remember”!
Dong Xia laughed coldly as she pulled out her long knife: Li Qing, prepare to die 🙂
*
Li Qing, as the supreme being of the immortal realm, was the people’s shining beacon.
The only unknown stain in his life was his affection for Dong Xia, the ruler of the demon realm.
In the final battle of the war between immortals and demons, the sky collapsed and the earth shattered. The ruler of the demon realm was finally slain under the sword of the supreme being of the immortal realm, and everyone in the immortal realm applauded.
The cultivation world lost a ruler of the demon realm.
And in the back mountain of Li Qing’s cave dwelling, he secretly hid away a fiancée.
