The World Star Who Seduced Me (Completed Main Story) - Chapter 12
“Excuse me.”
Yeo Woong murmured softly as she stepped inside the house.
Her eyes widened involuntarily as she looked around the interior.
The hallway connecting to the entrance was arranged like a gallery under soft lighting, showcasing various artworks, and stylish ornamental plants were placed throughout.
Following Seol Ji Oh down the hallway, they reached a spacious living room. A large, cozy-looking sofa and a rug in warm tones.
And next to it… a large, fluffy white object…? Huh?!
Yeo Woong gasped in surprise and stepped backward as she saw the big white object charging toward her.
“Lucky!”
Though Seol Ji Oh called out the name belatedly, Lucky—already sprinting toward her with white fur flying—had already bowled Yeo Woong over.
As a result, Yeo Woong dropped the gift she’d brought and landed hard on her bottom.
“Oof!”
The snow-white Samoyed puppy, having just knocked her over, now wagged its tail cheerfully at Yeo Woong with a bright, happy expression.
Lucky was Seol Ji Oh’s beloved pet dog.
“Oh dear. Were you that happy to see unnie?”
Seol Ji Oh approached and took Lucky away. Despite being a large breed, Seol Ji Oh effortlessly lifted Lucky with both arms and carried the dog off.
After sending Lucky into another room, Seol Ji Oh finally extended his hand to Yeo Woong.
“Were you startled? That guy’s really affectionate—especially toward pretty women.”
Tch. Yeo Woong let out a tiny sigh at Seol Ji Oh’s playful remark, took his hand, and stood up. His big, warm hand briefly touched hers before letting go.
Noticing the shopping bag lying beside Yeo Woong, Seol Ji Oh asked,
“What’s this?”
“Oh, that’s wild ginseng liquor.”
“Wild ginseng liquor?”
Though her visit had been sudden, Yeo Woong had felt awkward showing up empty-handed, so after some thought, she’d brought along a bottle of wild ginseng liquor her mother had sent years ago—intended originally for a director, but never delivered when the casting fell through.
But would Seol Ji Oh even like alcohol?
“Yes. Do you… happen to like drinking?”
Seol Ji Oh stroked his chin briefly with an unreadable expression, then nodded.
“Yes, thank you. I’ll save it for a special occasion.”
Seol Ji Oh gestured for Yeo Woong to sit on the sofa, then carefully took the shopping bag she’d given him and placed it in the kitchen. Yeo Woong sat down awkwardly on the sofa and slowly looked around the house.
As expected of a celebrity, framed photos of Seol Ji Oh from various photoshoots hung on the walls, along with a few intriguing pieces of art.
Overall, the atmosphere was modern and clean. The most ornate piece in the living room was the chandelier—but thanks to the high ceiling, it felt distant and less overwhelming.
“I’m sorry for making you come all the way here. As you know, it’s not easy for me to go out.”
“Thanks to you, I’ve finally seen Seol Ji Oh’s house.”
“What do you think of it?”
Yeo Woong, having taken in the space, smiled and replied,
“It smells like success—especially that night view.”
She stood up and walked toward the window. The view overlooking the Han River was truly breathtaking.
Lost briefly in the night scenery, Yeo Woong glanced over as Seol Ji Oh approached her side.
With his long strides, Seol Ji Oh looked like a commercial model even in simple, comfortable attire—a plain T-shirt and slacks.
Why does the air around him feel different?
While lost in this silly thought, Seol Ji Oh stood beside her and looked out the window.
Yeo Woong found herself unconsciously studying his profile.
With his hair falling naturally, he almost looked like his younger self.
Back then, his face had been fair and neatly handsome; now, his features had grown bolder, giving him a more mature, even sexy look.
So even a fair-skinned guy can be sexy—maybe it’s because of those long, almond-shaped eyes.
Just as she thought this, their eyes suddenly met. Seol Ji Oh gave her a gentle, knowing smile.
Yeo Woong blinked, flustered—as if caught having an inappropriate thought—and looked away. Seol Ji Oh, who’d been watching her with a faint smile, suddenly lowered his gaze and fixed his eyes on her lips.
Huh…?
Seeing Seol Ji Oh staring intently at her lips, Yeo Woong instinctively raised her hand to wipe them, wondering if something was stuck there. But Seol Ji Oh frowned slightly and caught her wrist.
“Yeo Woong.”
Startled by the sudden contact, Yeo Woong looked up at him—only to see Seol Ji Oh lean in slightly, closing the distance between their faces.

She unconsciously held her breath as his gaze lingered heavily on her lips.
His warmth spread through her captured wrist like an electric current, leaving her confused and flustered. She nervously licked her dry lips.
“Wh-Why are you…?”
“Just tell me honestly.”
“Tell you what?”
“Did someone hit you?”
“Huh?!”
Surprised by his abrupt question, Yeo Woong stared at him—only for Seol Ji Oh to look at her more firmly, then gently lift her chin with his other hand.
“Your lips look like they took a direct hit… Or did you maybe film an intense kissing scene?”
What?! Why is he talking about kissing all of a sudden???
Yeo Woong’s eyes widened at the random turn of conversation—then suddenly remembered last night: lying in bed, texting, she’d dropped her phone straight onto her lower lip.
At the time, she’d been too distracted by Seol Ji Oh’s incoming call to notice—but this morning, she’d woken up to find a deep blue bruise and swollen lips.
“Oh…”
Now she finally understood what he was thinking.
But still! To just blurt out, “Did someone hit you?” and—kissing scene, really?
What on earth is this guy thinking!
Her face flushed hotly. She turned her head away, pulled her chin free from his grip, avoided his eyes, and simply explained it was her phone that had done this.
Seol Ji Oh burst out laughing.
“Is your phone made of bricks or something? You really startled me.”
“Yeah… I was pretty shocked myself.”
“By the way, do you have a boyfriend?”
Seol Ji Oh asked casually, as if the topic had just drifted there. Yeo Woong looked up at him.
Why suddenly ask about a boyfriend…?
After blinking for a moment, she shook her head.
“No. I broke up… a while ago.”
“I see.”
Seol Ji Oh drew out the last syllable slightly, then abruptly turned and headed toward the kitchen.
For a moment, Yeo Woong tilted her head, puzzled. She wasn’t sure—but as he turned away, it almost looked like the corners of his lips curved upward briefly. Had she imagined it?
When Seol Ji Oh asked if she wanted something to drink, she nodded. Her throat had been parched.
He returned from the kitchen with a glass of water and handed it to her. Yeo Woong took it and moved back toward the sofa. Seol Ji Oh naturally sat down right beside her.
Yeo Woong glanced sideways at him—why sit so close when there was plenty of space? They were near enough that their arms would brush with the slightest move, yet Seol Ji Oh seemed completely at ease.
Feeling oddly tense, Yeo Woong pressed her fingernails into her palms and shifted slightly away.
Am I the only one overthinking this…?
“Well then, shall we start our meeting?”
Seol Ji Oh smiled and placed a tablet on the coffee table.
Yeo Woong looked slightly lost. She’d come all the way here because he’d mentioned wanting to hold a “strategy meeting,” but honestly, she had no idea what she was supposed to do.
She’d just come because she felt guilty—and because he’d asked.
“I’m planning to promote you.”
“Huh?”
Yeo Woong stared at him, puzzled.
Promote me?
Naturally, a question followed.
Why?
Thinking back—the audition recommendation, showing up on set to cheer her on today, and now saying outright he’d boost her career—none of it made sense. If anything, she was the one who’d caused him trouble…
She carefully opened her mouth.
“Seol Ji Oh… why on earth are you helping me?”
Seol Ji Oh looked at her once, then leaned back against the sofa, stroking his chin as if he’d never considered the question himself.
“Hmm… I wonder why I am.”
Truthfully, Yeo Woong wanted to ask if it was because he pitied her.
After all, every time he’d seen her, she’d looked pitiful and pathetic.

Her gaze drifted down to her toes, peeping out from her indoor slippers—until Seol Ji Oh chuckled softly and said,
“I’m not sure. I just feel drawn to you.”
Yeo Woong looked up at him. What did “drawn to you” even mean?
Her heart started pounding irregularly.
“At first, I was just curious about who that rude girl was. There wasn’t much about you online either. Then I saw a familiar movie title on your profile. I only meant to check if it was the one I’d seen—but ended up watching it all the way through.”
“Really? Which film was that?”
“Butterfly Grave.”
Yeo Woong’s eyes widened at the mention of “Butterfly Grave.”
How did he know that film? She’d practically forgotten about it herself.
“Butterfly Grave” was the movie she’d starred in as the lead during her agency days—her second and final lead role.
Of course, she hadn’t known it would be her last at the time.
It told the story of “Jung Woo,” a man with psychopathic tendencies, and “Hee Ya,” who’d grown up with him in the same orphanage since childhood.
Even now, it remained one of the most grueling projects she’d ever done.
The plot was disturbing, and the emotional depth required was overwhelming for a twenty-three-year-old. Still, she’d poured everything into understanding Hee Ya.
Yet the film had flopped—critically and commercially. Despite all her effort, nothing came of it.
She’d assumed no one remembered the film anymore—so hearing Seol Ji Oh mention it out of the blue felt surreal.
“After watching it, I felt awful—but your acting stayed with me. I know exactly how hard it is to deliver that kind of performance. But when I checked your recent work, it’s all supporting roles or bit parts?”
“…”
“I felt disappointed. You’re clearly talented—yet no one seems to notice.”
Yeo Woong looked at him, momentarily unsure what to say or how to react.
When she’d filmed that movie, she’d been passing through the darkest, longest tunnel of her life—the first time she’d learned that some things simply don’t work out no matter how hard you try.
Back then, no one had ever told her she had “potential”…
She quickly looked away, afraid tears might spill over. Blinking rapidly to clear her eyes, she spoke as casually as she could.
“That’s something I’ve always wanted to hear… and now I’m hearing it from you, Seol Ji Oh. Thank you.”
She lowered her gaze again to her toes. For some reason, she couldn’t meet his eyes.
Seol Ji Oh seemed to understand her feelings and gave a faint smile. Then, in a light tone, he said,
“I want to help you. It’s not that difficult for me.”
Yeo Woong lifted her head. Their eyes met—and Seol Ji Oh smiled gently.
“You said you wanted to meet me once you became famous, right?”
His tone carried a hint of amusement. Though those were her own words, Yeo Woong suddenly felt embarrassed and looked away.
“Well, you’ve met me—so now it’s time to become famous.”
Seol Ji Oh placed both arms on the table, interlaced his fingers, and continued.
“I thought about it after we hung up earlier—and I think I have a direction.”
He turned on the tablet and showed her the screen. It displayed search results for “Yeo Woong.”
“This is exactly your current situation. First, this profile photo—it’s at least five years old, right?”
“…Yes.”
“An outdated photo, thin filmography, almost no related news articles.”
“…”
“What you need most right now is an agency. I’ll talk to VF. Let’s set up a meeting sometime next week.”
Yeo Woong’s eyes widened instantly.
“VF… your agency?”
“Yes. Mine. I’m technically a director there, so I’ll pull some strings.”
Seol Ji Oh winked. Yeo Woong still felt dazed, as if none of this were real.
VF was Korea’s biggest actor-focused entertainment agency—and he was offering her a meeting there?
Her heart raced. At the same time, she felt a heavy weight—this was too much help to accept from him. After a pause, she swallowed and spoke.
“I… I’m so grateful. I don’t even know how I could possibly repay you.”
At her words, Seol Ji Oh suddenly looked as if a great idea had struck him. He smiled broadly, eyes crinkling, and said,
“Will you play with me?”
Yeo Woong involuntarily caught her breath. Looking at his bright smile, she felt her heart drop straight into her stomach.
Seriously—when he asked like that, with that face…

She barely managed to pull herself together before losing her mind completely.
She’d forgotten—she’d always been weak against Seol Ji Oh’s smile.
Even as kids, she’d always given in to whatever he wanted whenever he made that expression.
It felt just like old times.
But they weren’t children anymore—so what exactly did “play” mean between two grown adults? She looked at him, puzzled.
“What… do you want to do? Is there something you’d like to try?”
“Oh, I’ve got plenty of ideas.”
Seol Ji Oh gave her a mysterious smile, then raised a hand to stroke his chin as he gazed at her.
“There’s a great spot in my house.”
Male lead fell into her trap — and shattered when she walked away
This is also on my reread list!
This one is a slow burn, but when it burns, it burns hard.
Definitely worth a read, y’all!

The story follows a thousand-year-old seductive spirit who, on a bet, sets out to charm the male lead—a once-promising but unfortunate cultivator.
But just when she succeeds in making him fall for her, she heartlessly leaves, driving him to madness.
Determined to find her at all costs, he captures her, keeping her by his side no matter what, even if she hates him.
I love this kind of trope—I enjoy watching the male lead suffer in agony.
The ending drags a bit with unnecessary filler, but that’s fine.
As long as I enjoy the beginning, I’m good.
