The Villainess Doesn't Want Love (20 Chapters Left to Complete) - Chapter 90
“Becoming Duke Milainer.”
That was the lifelong aspiration and ultimate goal pursued by Marquis Milainer.
Marquis Milainer fervently pleaded with the Emperor, asking for his aid in restoring the Milainer Marquisate to its former glory and elevating it once again to a ducal house.
In exchange for granting the Marquis’s request, the Emperor set forth a condition.
“If you bring me the thorn in my eye—the Colesburg Dukedom—then I wouldn’t refuse such a favor.”
Upon hearing the Emperor’s words, Marquis Milainer immediately became elated and devised a plan right away.
His plan was simple.
All that was needed was for his daughter, Karina, to become Duchess and bear a child who would inherit the Colesburg Dukedom.
Once the child was born, he would use the child as leverage to control and manipulate Jeremiah.
If this succeeded, swallowing up the Colesburg house would merely be a matter of time.
Even if Jeremiah took another woman, as long as the child—the official heir of the dukedom—existed, there would be no issue.
According to imperial law, the firstborn child of the legitimate wife held the highest priority in succession.
Should any conflict arise over the dukedom’s inheritance, the Emperor was already on his side.
Thus, any mediation or decision related to this matter would clearly favor the Milainers.
If Jeremiah were to lose his life fighting monsters, that would be even better.

Male lead is a Divorced Husband
She said to him: “Tell me, what makes you like me? I’ll change it!”

Liu Changning transmigrated into a female cannon fodder character in a female-dominant novel.
After reading the first half of the novel’s plot, the first thing she did upon transmigration was to divorce the Pan Jinlian-style male protagonist she had just married.
She indulged herself, pretending to be ugly and poor.
But as time passed, the way that man looked at her became more and more unusual…
Liu Changning was dumbfounded: Tell me, what makes you like me? I’ll change!

This lifetime, Pei Yuanshao was rejected by the same woman twice!
The first time, she drove him away. Forced by the situation, he endured the waves of anger in his heart, yielding and humbling himself.
That person lay slanted on a rocking chair, her sallow face emotionless: “If you don’t want a divorce, go cook!”
Pei Yuanshao’s face was dark and gloomy: “You!”
The second time, after the crisis in Jinling City was resolved, the new emperor sent someone to pick him up. He turned around, stammering: “I… I have to go. If you keep me…”
That person lay on the kang bed, her back to him, as if she had long anticipated this day, crisp and clear: “Goodbye!”
Pei Yuanshao was so angry his fingers trembled: “You… you!”
The mission of family and country made him restrain himself, averting his eyes and turning to leave this broken household.
Two years later, they met again. Seeing her ethereal face, his body shook like a sieve.
“She was originally a ‘she’!”
At the Qionglin Banquet, the top scholar of the imperial examination, a talented person with exceptional speech and conduct, all the unmarried young gentlemen from aristocratic families looked at her with shy and timid eyes.
The peerless imperial official Pei Yuanshao felt the anger in his heart erupt. He pointed at the woman surrounded by the crowd at the Qionglin Banquet, his thin lips slightly curled: “Little sister, I wants that person to be the wife-master of my Mingde Prince Manor.”

“Show him to the reception room.”
Show him to a dungeon, not to a reception room — maybe the front gate. You see why I’ll be talking junk about you. You could’ve just lied and said she was not feeling well and she was laying down and to come back another time. But see, you never think of our girl. She was not feeling well, and she was laying down. Just tell her to come back another time. But see, you never think of our girl.

“And inform Karina of the Marquis’s visit as well.”
You see why I can’t stand you. You could have gone over there, talked to her, and said, “Hey, do you want to see your crusty, good-for-nothing father?” She would most likely have said no, but no, Jeremy, this is why I talk 💩.

Jeremiah immediately ordered the kitchen to prepare an apple pie.
You’re so quick, I’ve never seen you move that fast. Let me stop lying—when you saved her and didn’t get credit 😂, you were even quicker than that. But technically, our boy Mikhail said her.

Between the father and Jeremy Jenny, you’re about to be on the list. Y’all really are pissing me off this chapter.
this was an OK chapter. Jeremy still pissed me off. Did Daddy need to be pushed off a cliff and we will have a good ending.
I think she could’ve cussed him out more and shown more of her hurt. She was drunk because, at this point, baby, you’re still holding onto the hurt when you don’t need to. Curse this man out from the depths of your soul.
