The Villainess Doesn't Want Love (20 Chapters Left to Complete) - Chapter 88
Karina and Jeremiah went before the dais where the Emperor stood.
Just then, foreign envoys had finished greeting the Emperor and were withdrawing.
‘Perfect timing.’
Karina gave a natural smile.
A chamberlain who had been guiding distinguished guests in order approached and signaled their turn.
Karina and Jeremiah stepped forward and bowed before the Emperor.
“Duke Colesburg, welcome. It’s been a while.”
The Emperor wore a benevolent smile, acting as if their previous private audience had never happened.
The Marquis Milainer standing beside the Emperor behaved identically.
“It seems this is the first time since your marriage, Your Majesty. My son-in-law and my daughter have come to pay their respects—please look upon them kindly.”
The Marquis deliberately stressed the word “son-in-law,” raising his voice so all nearby nobles could hear.
“They truly make a splendid couple. Perhaps because they’re newlyweds, both appear radiant.”
The Marquis spoke so boldly to flaunt that even the Duke of the North—the House of Colesburg—could no longer ignore his influence.
Since his daughter Karina had become Duchess of Colesburg, the mere fact that Karina and Jeremiah maintained a solid marital bond made the Marquis Milainer believe his house now stood equal to the House of Colesburg in prestige.
His repeated emphasis on “son-in-law” was also meant to openly assert his status as the elder relative by marriage to a ducal house.

Male lead is a clingy little husband
One-line summary: The male lead is initially an arrogant, noble, love-deprived brat, later a cute, clingy, scheming little jealous one.

Introduction:
One day, Lu Yuner’s soul transmigrates into a female-dominant world. She enters the Imperial Academy and takes up the position of a doctoral instructor, teaching classes and grading schoolwork.
One day, she encounters the young prince Su Qingwan secretly skipping class from the male academy.
As a result, Su Qingwan is punished.
From then on, Su Qingwan sees Lu Yuner as a “thorn in his side”.
But before long, this “thorn” becomes the person he cherishes most, and he goes to great lengths to win Lu Yuner’s affection.
Mini scene 1:
One day, the sun is high in the sky but Su Qingwan still hasn’t gotten up for class.
Servant Xiaoyuan: “Young prince, it’s time for class. You’ll be late otherwise.”
Su Qingwan says arrogantly: “I’m not going. I am the esteemed prince, my status is so noble, why should I suffer this hardship? Besides, isn’t learning all this just to please women? Hmph, they’re not worthy!”
Mini scene 2:
After Su Qingwan falls for someone, he completely changes. He no longer skips class and diligently learns how to be a good husband and father. But he discovers that Sister Yuner is always surrounded by admirers.
Drunk and overcome with jealousy one day, he clings to Lu Yuner, crying beautifully like a pear blossom in the rain.
Su Qingwan: “Qingwan likes Sister Yuner.”
Lu Yuner: “Young prince, you’re drunk.”
Su Qingwan: “Qingwan isn’t drunk. Qingwan likes Sister Yuner, likes you so much, likes you to bits…” Before he can finish, Lu Yuner’s eyes flash with emotion and she leans in closer.
[Reading Guide]
1. The female lead is gentle, gracious, humble and polite but not weak. The male lead is initially an arrogant, noble, love-deprived brat, later a cute, clingy, scheming little jealous one.
2. 1v1, a bit torturous in the beginning but definitely sweet later on.

“Show him to the reception room.”
Show him to a dungeon, not to a reception room — maybe the front gate. You see why I’ll be talking junk about you. You could’ve just lied and said she was not feeling well and she was laying down and to come back another time. But see, you never think of our girl. She was not feeling well, and she was laying down. Just tell her to come back another time. But see, you never think of our girl.

“And inform Karina of the Marquis’s visit as well.”
You see why I can’t stand you. You could have gone over there, talked to her, and said, “Hey, do you want to see your crusty, good-for-nothing father?” She would most likely have said no, but no, Jeremy, this is why I talk 💩.

Jeremiah immediately ordered the kitchen to prepare an apple pie.
You’re so quick, I’ve never seen you move that fast. Let me stop lying—when you saved her and didn’t get credit 😂, you were even quicker than that. But technically, our boy Mikhail said her.

Between the father and Jeremy Jenny, you’re about to be on the list. Y’all really are pissing me off this chapter.
this was an OK chapter. Jeremy still pissed me off. Did Daddy need to be pushed off a cliff and we will have a good ending.
I think she could’ve cussed him out more and shown more of her hurt. She was drunk because, at this point, baby, you’re still holding onto the hurt when you don’t need to. Curse this man out from the depths of your soul.
