Without answering my question, Knight Ruben sighed and pressed his hand to his forehead.
“I had a bad feeling about this…….”
About what, exactly? I couldn’t grasp the situation—how or why he knew about me.

Ignoring me, Ruben turned his gaze toward Edan.
As if Edan already knew exactly what he was about to say, Ruben shot him a searing, arrow-like stare.
But Edan, acting as though Ruben’s glare meant nothing to him, swept his cloak dramatically and strode toward the edge of the fortress wall. Then he blurted out nonsense.
“Her name is Breakfast.”
Both Ruben’s and my faces twisted simultaneously.
Breakfast……?!
The statement clearly referred to me, and I was so dumbfounded I wanted to protest immediately. But before I could utter a word, Ruben followed after Edan and asked,
“Have you truly lost your mind? What are you planning to do bringing this woman here?!”
“Not ‘this woman’—Breakfast.”
“You know full well that’s not the point.”
“If I say it’s important, then it is. Ruben.”
“Ha. Fine. Fine. Let’s just call her Breakfast.”
Ugh…… no.
“Good.”
Without even considering my opinion, I was officially designated as “Breakfast.”
Ruben, frustrated, wildly raked his fingers through his hair, while Edan smugly curled the corners of his lips upward.
His gaze remained fixed beyond the fortress wall, on the monster. As Edan’s lips moved subtly—his cheeks puffing slightly as if calculating something—he scanned left and right. Ruben raised his voice even louder toward him.
“But what exactly do you intend to do, bringing your ‘Breakfast’ here?!”
Unlike Ruben, whose tone was laced with irritation, Edan’s voice grew increasingly calm.
“Why get so worked up? I can certainly take Breakfast along. Think of her as a packed lunch.”
Having finished speaking—and apparently satisfied that preparations were complete—Edan leapt nimbly onto the parapet at the wall’s edge and gave Ruben an order.
“Guard my Breakfast. That’s your duty for today.”
Without hesitation, Edan stepped forward and leapt straight off the fortress wall.
“Your—…!”
Ruben started to call after him but halted mid-word, tilting his head back as if his blood pressure had spiked.
“Damn it.”
Seemingly resigned, Ruben let out a sigh heavy with exasperation. I, meanwhile, urgently sprinted toward the section of the wall from which Edan had fallen.
Even an ordinary fortress wall was tall—but this was the northern barrier specifically built to keep monsters from entering the northern plains.
Therefore, the wall’s height was genuinely dizzying—precipitous as a cliff, so high it made your vision swim.
I wondered whether even Edan could possibly survive a jump from this height. Startled, I clung to the parapet where he’d fallen and peered down below.
But,
“He’s insane…….”
Edan had already landed safely on the ground and was now heading straight toward the monster.
Even in the darkness, Edan’s hair shimmered brightly like stars as he moved swiftly using his supernatural ability.
The monster, drawn to bright colors, spotted Edan.
Instantly ignoring all the soldiers it had been fighting, the creature charged madly toward Edan the moment it caught sight of his golden hair.
Amid soldiers scattering to either side like receding tide, Edan stood bravely, facing the monster head-on. Dust and mist quickly obscured the area around Edan due to the monster’s movements, and suddenly, an intensely powerful gust of wind surged upward along the fortress wall.
“Ugh…!”
Reflexively, I clutched tightly the flag wrapped around my body. But the wind refused to settle—and without mercy, the flag tore free.
Flapping wildly, the flag fluttered aimlessly—and my hair, cascading down to my waist, danced along with it.
“Eek!”
The northern winds were far stronger than I’d imagined.
I tried desperately to hold on, but ultimately, I toppled over.
Fortunately, Ruben approached me and knelt down to my eye level.
Despite the ferocious wind, he acted as if it were nothing—he seized the flag, used it to cover my hair, and tied it firmly under my chin.
Then he turned his body to shield me from the wind, blocking it with his own frame.
“I’m alive. Thank you.”
“Lady La ti e…… no, Lady Breakfast.”
Still crouching, I looked up at Ruben.
Ruben, with his dark skin, stood nearly as tall as Edan.
“I’m La ti e na. You clearly knew my name correctly just a moment ago.”
“From now on, you’re Breakfast.”
It was a firm, decisive answer. Still, I timidly attempted another protest.
“But I really don’t want to be called that……”
“Take it up directly with His Grace. Since he decreed you shall be called Breakfast, I must address you as such.”

No flexibility at all.
Come to think of it—Ruben. At a glance I hadn’t noticed, but upon closer inspection, his hair was a deep auburn.

His gaze, sweeping dismissively over the surroundings, turned toward us—and in that instant, I hastily ducked completely behind Ruben.
Though the gale had subsided, cold winds still blew eerily along the fortress wall.
In this situation—where exertion rarely produced even sweat, let alone heat—a cold sweat trickled steadily down my forehead.
‘Why are you doing this to me?!’
Hunching my shoulders and clenching my lips tightly, I wore an expression as if I might burst into tears at any moment.
Because that man was Male Lead No. 2, Hillstain Mathias—the one obsessed with Ivy.
