Ji An pushed thoughts of Ha Jun out of her mind and began hastily gathering the scattered clothes off the floor.

Just as Ji An, sweeping up trash, noticed the rectangular silver wrappers strewn across the coffee table and froze in shock—

She heard the sound of the front door’s lock disengaging.

Beep-beep-beep. Accompanied by the sound, So Min’s boisterous voice rang out.

“I thought you’d get here first. But I flew over anyway—I’ve got so much I need to tell you.”

So Min stepped into the living room, saw the male contraceptive in Ji An’s hand, and waved her off.

Then, putting aside her mountain of things to say, she added something else.

“Just leave that there. I’m leaving it out so Mom sees it. I’m sick of all these blind dates.”

“But isn’t she setting them up for your own good?”

“You know how I lived until high school, right? Bed at midnight, up at five. If I’ve endured that much, I’ve done enough to repay her. I can choose my own marriage.”

So Min cupped her hands together and shivered slightly as she continued.

“Ugh. I never, ever want to go back to those days.”

“But you still get called ‘Director,’ don’t you?”

“I earn the title ‘Director’ through my own hard work. That’s why I run my academy so seriously—I need the money to confidently defy Mom. More than anything, I never wanted to become a diplomat just to fulfill her dream. Things are perfect now.”

So Min snatched the male contraceptive from Ji An and tossed it onto the coffee table with a soft thud.
