Tae Beom and Hye Won walked steadily down the road. Unlike when they searched for a bar, they didn’t walk one in front of the other—they walked side by side, maintaining a comfortable distance.

When Hye Won stumbled, Tae Beom instinctively reached out his hand. But she quickly regained her balance and continued walking without his help.

Before long, they arrived in front of her house. Hye Won looked back at the path they’d walked, then turned to face Tae Beom.

They hadn’t exchanged a single word since leaving the bar, but now it was time to say their final goodbyes.

“I’ll head in now. Please be careful on your way home.”

She took a deep breath and squared her shoulders. Tightening her eyes, she looked straight at him.

“I hope you… stay healthy.”

She nearly begged him to remember her, but swallowed the words back at the last second.

“I also hope everything goes well with your work… um… and also…”

“What do you think of me?”

“…Huh?”

Surprised by his abrupt question, Hye Won’s eyes widened.

Tae Beom then spread his arms wide and lifted his chin, striking an arrogant pose.
