“Ms. Hye Won, shall we have dinner together?”

When Song Yeon approached and asked warmly, Hye Won looked up.

“Dinner?”

“Yes. Now that I’ve returned to Korea after a long time, there are so many things I want to eat. I don’t think delivery food will cut it.”

…Ah. Food.

Hye Won smiled faintly, in agreement with Song Yeon’s words. When Hye Won checked the time, Song Yeon quickly added,

“Oh—if you already have dinner plans, Assistant Manager, we can eat another time.”

“No, it’s fine. I’d just be eating alone at home anyway. Let’s go together.”

Although it was only Song Yeon’s third day at work, a welcome dinner felt like a distant dream. Yang Hoon was frequently out on business, and Tae Beom wasn’t the type of person who paid close attention to such details.

Yet Hye Won herself couldn’t readily suggest it either—she felt guilty, since she wasn’t technically a full member of the Managing Director’s office, and it felt unseemly to push for it.

“Assistant Manager, you really don’t have any plans, right? You’re not just coming along to be nice?”

“Yes, really. Actually, I’m really glad Director Park asked me first to have dinner together. Let’s eat something delicious.”

Her gentle, warm tone made people feel at ease.

Hye Won smiled warmly in response, and Song Yeon smiled back.

“Then let’s wrap up quickly and head out.”
