The Runaway Female Lead Doesn't Run Away (13 Chapters Left to Complete) - Chapter 121
Late afternoon, as the sun was setting.
It should have been a peaceful time for everyone after finishing their daily routines, but the air in the mansion where Clayton was felt heavy.
Not only had there been casualties from a sudden attack, but Dahlia and Damien had also been kidnapped—leaving everyone on high alert.
Because of this, the entire mansion was desperately focused on retrieving the two.
Cadison, who had just returned from an inspection outside, immediately went to Clayton to deliver his report.
He had sent people to the harbor and confirmed there were no ships departing for the Empire.
This meant the Crown Prince was still in Easter. Their top priority now was to locate the hiding place where he and his group were staying.
“The Crown Prince’s faction must have planned this intrusion, targeting the brief window when we’d left the mansion. They’ve likely been monitoring our movements for quite some time. For that to be possible, their hiding place is probably not far from here.”
As he spoke, Cadison unfolded a map in front of Clayton.
Marked on it were abandoned houses within a short distance from the mansion where the two had been kept.
“I’ve marked all locations reachable on horseback within a day from this mansion. The Crown Prince’s group, including their knights, numbers at least ten. These are places secluded enough and large enough to accommodate that many people.”
Clayton scanned each marked spot in turn. Even though Cadison had narrowed it down as much as possible, at a glance there still appeared to be over forty locations.
Clayton stared silently at the map, then drew a line across it with his pen and spoke.
“Since we’ve confirmed they headed south, we can narrow it down roughly to this area.”
“Yes, that’s right.”

My Step-brother Is Obsessed With Me (Female-dominant)
A gentle female protagonist vs pitiful in the early stage, and a sick male protagonist in the later stage
Cheng Songer transmigrated into the body of a vicious cannon fodder female supporting character with the same name as her in a female-dominant novel.
In the original story, the cannon fodder female supporting character was inhumane, committing domestic violence, gambling excessively, being lustful, and even wanting to sell her stepbrother to a brothel for money.
As luck would have it, she just happened to transmigrate at this time.
Seeing Cheng Qingzhi biting his lip, enduring the tears in his eyes, looking pitiful, her heart softened.
She stuffed the money back into the Madam’s hand and reached out to him.
“Brother, come home with me.”
