“Until then, keep that thing on your ankle. Promise me you won’t take it off. Even after this marriage ends, even if by then you still can’t accept me. If you ever do take it off, I’ll be the one to remove it myself.”

Do Um looked up at Eun Hyuk as though she’d been struck hard on the head.

“I put it on you, so I should be the one to take it off too. You can at least let me do that much, right?”

This was Eun Hyuk, a man who had never once asked anything of her.

A man who had no particular stubborn wishes of his own and always obediently did whatever Do Um wanted was, for once, being unusually persistent.

“Answer me. Only then will I let go.”

Far away, Ji Wan, who had been leaning against the car hood, finally started walking toward them.

With every long stride, his dark eyebrows furrowed fiercely.

“Fine, let’s do that.”

The moment the hurried answer spilled out, the instant Eun Hyuk released the wrist he was holding, Do Um dashed toward Ji Wan.

Because she didn’t want the man to find out there was someone desperately waiting for this marriage to end.

Because she was afraid that if he knew someone was waiting, he might let her go too easily.
