After the crowd that had surged forward like a tide dispersed, Writer Gong remarked. Se Kyung held her chopsticks in her mouth and glanced toward the next table.

The group who had been bombarding Se Kyung with questions while thrusting soju cups at her had somehow shifted over to the adjacent seats—thanks to PD Cha, who had inserted himself midway, considerately deflecting attention away from her since she couldn’t drink alcohol while pregnant.

“That’s true. It’s not like dating for her would be any different from anyone else’s, yet I never expected people to be this curious.”

Even without Se Kyung confirming anything, her colleagues already seemed to treat her relationship as fact. Naturally, their biggest burning question was exactly what kind of person her boyfriend was.

Yet, oddly enough, the rumors floating around offered inconsistent details about Tae Jo, whom people kept asking Se Kyung to verify.

Some claimed he might be a celebrity, while others said they’d heard he was a young entrepreneur or even a younger man. That reporter who had grabbed her arm earlier upon entering the restaurant had even asked if her romantic partner was a wealthy tycoon.

“How on earth did these rumors even start?”

“Since nothing’s been officially confirmed, people are just speculating wildly—hoping something sticks. I’ve gotten tons of calls from people around me ever since that article about your couple ring came out, asking if I knew who it was.”

Writer Gong gave a slight shrug. Now that she’d heard Se Kyung’s boyfriend wasn’t in the entertainment industry, she figured she could at least share that much.

“Haven’t you released an official statement yet because the drama hasn’t finished airing?”

“Yes. There probably will be an article once the drama ends.”

“But lately, people don’t react so sensitively to celebrities dating. Why not just go ahead and publish the statement?”

“The drama’s currently at its most intense point. Some viewers are deeply immersed right now, and since it’s not urgent, we decided to hold off for now. Besides, even without a statement, look how many people already believe you’re dating.”

Se Kyung gestured toward the next table with her eyes. Writer Gong followed her gaze and readily agreed.
