“Ruela, I’m fine—don’t heal me. I’m still using potions, so you don’t need to do anything for now.”

Her mind understood Kite’s words, but her heart kept whispering to press the Heal button in her skill window.

Every time his health dropped a little, her fingers twitched involuntarily—until suddenly, all the monster’s tentacles attacked Kite at once, and his red health bar plummeted below one-third in an instant.

“Kite!”

The cooldown on his barrier hadn’t reset yet.

With no choice, she poured on heals, barely raising his health back to 50%, when a tentacle shot swiftly upward and snatched Ruela, yanking her into the air.

“Aaahhh!”

A scream escaped her before she even realized it.

Mitchell hadn’t had time to react before she was seized, and now Ruela was slammed helplessly against one wall, then another, as the tentacle swung her wildly about.

“Ruela!”

She heard someone desperately calling her name from below, but she was too dizzy and in too much pain to think clearly about what to do.

“Recall! Press Recall!”

Kite shouted from below, but Ruela, tossed violently by the tentacle, could only hear the rushing wind.

“What should we do? It’s too high—I can’t even use my sword.”

At Mitchell’s words, Kite gave orders.
