“How’s this?”
To celebrate hitting level 5 and becoming a healer, Ruela was gleefully unleashing her skills left and right. Lying on the floor before her was the middle-aged head chef, serving as her test subject.
As everyone waited for her words, the chef broke into a wide grin.
“Oh my, miss! Every time water touched my stinging wound, it healed as if washed clean. Truly miraculous!”
“Really? So my stamina recovery potion worked well, huh?”
“What’s that?”
“Oh, something I brewed myself. It’s one of my healing techniques.”
It was far better to give them a familiar-sounding name for a common wound salve than to keep awkwardly reciting the actual skill names whenever someone asked. At her words, the chef gave a vague nod of understanding and then made a request.
“My back—please heal my back too.”
“How does your back hurt?”
“When I stand too long, it gets stiff and numb.”
“Alright. Then how about I try healing you with ‘Blessed Pain Patch’?”
She fired off yet another type of heal, this one also given a whimsical name of her own.
