The Maid's Contract Marriage (1 Chapters Left to Complete) - Chapter 112
Duchess Pearl was a person who held considerable status not only in noble society but also within the religious community.
Although Duchess Pearl did not wish to appear as if she were entangled with political power and religion—and thus never openly displayed it—she was officially recognized by the Church as a saint and had her name inscribed on the Church’s registry of priests.
Duchess Pearl had not appeared publicly as a temple priest only because, as a member of the imperial family, she was expected to prioritize her secular duty of governing her own lands in the north; nonetheless, within the Church, she was acknowledged as a high-ranking clergy member.
As both an imperial family member and a saint, she held a rank equivalent to that of an archbishop, yet due to her social status as royalty, she was in practice regarded as holding a position akin to that of a cardinal.
Archbishop Randall sighed deeply but greeted her with a warm smile.
“I apologize for calling out so loudly. It has been a long time since I last saw you. I heard you were unwell—are you feeling better?”
“Me? Unwell?”
“Ah… Baroness, the maid of Lady Agnes… No, never mind. I’m glad to hear you’re well.”
The archbishop brushed it off casually.
He surmised that her maid must have offered a suitable explanation for her absence due to another pressing matter.
‘After all, she already had an appointment with the Marquis at that time.’
She was not the sort of person who enjoyed associating with someone like Marquis Julius—perhaps she had left early to avoid having to exchange even a word with him.
The archbishop was close enough to Duchess Pearl to make such guesses.
“Why did you come without sending word? Please come inside—it’s cold out here.”
The archbishop opened the door beside the window where she stood.

Male lead fell into her trap — and shattered when she walked away
This is also on my reread list!
This one is a slow burn, but when it burns, it burns hard.
Definitely worth a read, y’all!

The story follows a thousand-year-old seductive spirit who, on a bet, sets out to charm the male lead—a once-promising but unfortunate cultivator.
But just when she succeeds in making him fall for her, she heartlessly leaves, driving him to madness.
Determined to find her at all costs, he captures her, keeping her by his side no matter what, even if she hates him.
I love this kind of trope—I enjoy watching the male lead suffer in agony.
The ending drags a bit with unnecessary filler, but that’s fine.
As long as I enjoy the beginning, I’m good.

What is going onn??? It feels like someone is pulling everyone’s strings and my main question of who puy the hit out hasn’t been answered
All my guesses for how this novel was going gl go have been somehow wrong . I could sense they wouldn’t be together for a long time but I didn’t want it to be true
The future looks scary and uncertain here… I said I saw no way for reina and Arthur to be together and I was proven right
