The Mad Commander is Obsessive (Completed Main Story) - Chapter 37
A night cloaked in deep darkness.
A soft glow flickered within the tent of the Stilietz Empire’s supreme commander.
Drip drip.
Aaron tilted the bottle, pouring brandy into his glass.
The golden liquid, reminiscent of her hair, filled the glass to the brim.
Clack clack.
Two pebbles in Aaron’s palm struck each other, making a sound.
Aaron, supreme commander of the Stilietz Imperial Army, rolled the pebbles with his left hand while raising the glass with his right.
Through the amber liquid shimmering with red light, the battle from a few days ago seemed to flicker into view.
The Battle of Kabat Plain, fought along the Iorenti border.
There, fifty thousand of Iorenti’s forces had awaited the imperial army.
The imperial troops, previously pinned down after a surprise attack by barely two hundred royal guards at Mount Tarence, were now facing a fully prepared army of fifty thousand.
It was no small feat.
Aaron had tightened every precaution and prepared meticulously.
He requested an additional fifty thousand troops from the imperial heartland, leading a grand army of one hundred thousand.

Male lead fell into her trap — and shattered when she walked away
This is also on my reread list!
This one is a slow burn, but when it burns, it burns hard.
Definitely worth a read, y’all!

The story follows a thousand-year-old seductive spirit who, on a bet, sets out to charm the male lead—a once-promising but unfortunate cultivator.
But just when she succeeds in making him fall for her, she heartlessly leaves, driving him to madness.
Determined to find her at all costs, he captures her, keeping her by his side no matter what, even if she hates him.
I love this kind of trope—I enjoy watching the male lead suffer in agony.
The ending drags a bit with unnecessary filler, but that’s fine.
As long as I enjoy the beginning, I’m good.

Crazy blanket.
First the commander was a rope and now he is a blanket.

Those who wore coral-stone earrings…
Coral is typically prized by island cultures. I was thinking the island countries or the Estrella empire was involved in this to sow discord.

“Miss Regina, please rest here. I’ll go hunting briefly and return.”
It seems the emperor has caught feelings that even he isn’t fully aware of yet.

Does the queen really think Delia would be better off in Boswell? She should know better. Whether enemy or ally, Delia would be treated as an object and used for her relation to the throne and ability to bear children. At least this way Delia can not only be happy but retain her dignity. Or is the queen perhaps grieving that her son will be deposed and wants to send Delia away so there is noone to replace the crown prince?
It’s hard to believe the princess has no allies within the palace, among the council or elders or even within the kingdom.
