The Mad Commander is Obsessive (Completed Main Story) - Chapter 28
Aaron softly murmured to Delia the best things he could offer her.
“If you wish, I’ll have Iorenti architects build it in the Iorenti style. We’ll hold splendid banquets in that castle.”
“But this place isn’t Iorenti.”
“So what? You won’t even have time to think of Iorenti.”
“I could never forget Iorenti.”
“You can forget. It will be forgotten. We’ll host banquets every day, with music playing nonstop. Dancing together while eating sweet cakes will feel like heaven. We’ll invite new friends for card games, and you’ll be so busy showing off the jewels your husband gave you that you won’t have a moment to recall the past.”
Aaron chanted the finest things he could give, like a prayer.
So they might seep deep into Delia’s mind.
As if that were his sole hope and purpose.
“And when time passes and a child is born, our children will grow up playing within that castle.”
Delia gazed at Aaron with desperate eyes.
It wasn’t hard to recall, in Aaron’s ash-gray irises, the wolf that had been crushing her.
The silver wolf threatened the very reason for her existence.
It sought to make her forget she was the Princess of Iorenti.
Something she must never forget.

“Lily of the valley. It’s lily of the valley.”
A very toxic flower, particularly if you eat it. I had a feeling she was going to do that.

Those who wore coral-stone earrings…
Coral is typically prized by island cultures. I was thinking the island countries or the Estrella empire was involved in this to sow discord.

Good job Del! Looks like in the end she has won the wager.
If the fate of the crown prince is unknown, why would they send away the only other heir?
Does the queen really think Delia would be better off in Boswell? She should know better. Whether enemy or ally, Delia would be treated as an object and used for her relation to the throne and ability to bear children. At least this way Delia can not only be happy but retain her dignity. Or is the queen perhaps grieving that her son will be deposed and wants to send Delia away so there is noone to replace the crown prince?
