The Heiress in Blue (Completed Main Story) - Chapter 7
Se Jin couldn’t utter a single word.
“Why not? Aren’t you willing to give me your daughter? Didn’t you say you’d give me anything I wanted?”
Ju Hwa sneered at Se Jin, clearly amused.
“I’ll give you my life. Please, just let it happen.”
“…Mom!”
Yeoreum, startled, rushed to Se Jin and grabbed her arm.
“Get up.”
Se Jin only shook her head, refusing to rise.
Yeoreum, faced with this absurd situation, felt her bewilderment turn into fury.
“Get up! I said get up!”
“You stay out of this! Just stay put!”
“Stay put? What do you mean, stay put!”
She pulled Se Jin up forcefully by both arms, but Se Jin resisted.
Rooted to the floor as though she’d grown roots, Se Jin wouldn’t budge an inch.
“So, as expected—that won’t work, will it?”
Ju Hwa, who had been watching the two argue, finally spoke.
“Then I suppose you have nothing more to say. I’ll be on my way.”
“…Chairwoman!”
Se Jin nearly collapsed, clinging desperately to Ju Hwa’s legs.
“Just tell me to die instead! Please, I beg you!”
“Are you really that stupid? I already told you—I don’t need your worthless life.”
“If you leave like this, Jeong Hyun will die! Please, save him!”
“Why are you acting like this when the discussion is over? And you—why are you just standing there? Get her off me right now.”
At Ju Hwa’s command, her secretaries rushed over, roughly pulling Se Jin away.
But Se Jin, with fierce determination, stretched out her hand again and grabbed Ju Hwa’s leg.
“…Please save Jeong Hyun! I’m begging you!”
Her mother, wailing and clinging, looked utterly desperate.
Watching helplessly, Yeoreum felt her blood boil until she thought she’d explode.
She spoke sharply to the secretaries who were roughly yanking her mother’s arms.
“Let go of her! I said let go!”
They hesitated for a moment and turned to look back.
Yeoreum brushed their arms away from Se Jin and stepped forward to face Ju Hwa.
Meeting Ju Hwa’s mocking gaze, she declared firmly,
“I’ll give you the next twenty years of my life. I’ll sever all ties with my parents. Will that be enough?”
“…Yeoreum?”
“Fine, let’s do it like that. Just save my dad.”
“…What on earth are you saying!”
Se Jin quickly stood and grabbed Yeoreum’s arm.
But Yeoreum shook her off and shouted toward Ju Hwa,
“I’m giving you my twenty years, you old hag! I’ll cut all ties with my parents! Is that enough or not!”
Se Jin immediately wrapped her arms around Yeoreum, whose eyes were wide open with fury, and pleaded,
“…No. Yeoreum, you can’t do that.”
Shaking her head frantically, Se Jin tried to dissuade her.
Ju Hwa, watching Yeoreum’s enraged eyes, gave a sly smile and said,
“Alright then. I’ll spare your father’s life. I’m a woman of my word.”
“…No! Absolutely not for my Yeoreum!”
Still clinging tightly to Yeoreum, Se Jin shook her head firmly.
Ju Hwa sat back down on the sofa’s place of honor, crossed her legs, and said calmly,
“Since your next twenty years are now at stake, I suppose I ought to give you time to think it over. I’ll give you exactly ten minutes. Discuss it well with your mother.”
She spoke with a generous smile.

Yeoreum took her bewildered mother’s hand and led her out of the hospital room.
*
The VIP ward, usually so quiet, buzzed with unusual tension.
“Isn’t that PR’s Chief Secretary Ahn?”
At Secretary Choi’s words, Sanha looked ahead.
The middle-aged man just turning the corridor corner was a familiar face.
He seemed to have someone beside him as well.
All the men in suits gathered near the nearby room had PR badges pinned to their jacket lapels.
The two walked past the tense hospital room and approached the nurses’ station.
The nurses’ faces turned troubled upon seeing Sanha.
“Please.”
“If you keep doing this, it puts us in a really difficult position…”
“I understand. But I’m still begging you, please.”
Sanha bowed deeply from the waist.
The head nurse finally spoke,
“Go ahead and enter. You can take your time leaving, too. Madam will be arriving this evening.”
“Thank you. Secretary Choi, you may leave for the day.”
Sanha expressed his gratitude again before walking confidently into a familiar hospital room.
Secretary Choi approached a nurse who looked to be in her mid-twenties and quietly asked,
“By the way, what happened? Why are all those PR people gathered over there?”
Glancing around cautiously, she whispered back,
“Chairwoman Kang Ju Hwa’s son was in a car accident.”
“Chairwoman Kang’s son?”
“Yes.”
“Is it serious?”
She nodded briefly before quickly returning to her work.
Secretary Choi stared for a moment at the crowded hallway, then turned toward the room Sanha had entered.
A deep sigh escaped him.
Sanha approached the hospital bed.
The young man lying there, propped up by complex machinery, looked to be in his twenties—but despite his tall frame, he was gaunt, his face pale enough to see the veins beneath his skin.
Sanha took off his jacket and laid it on a nearby sofa.
“Hey, Jin Hae Il. Your older brother’s here, and you’re just lying there? You’ve really let your discipline slip.”
Sanha stepped closer to the bed and ruffled Hae Il’s hair lightly with his hand.
Then he pulled over a nearby chair, took a hamburger out of the paper bag he’d brought, and held it right under Hae Il’s nose.
“How’s that? Smell good?”
He waved the burger teasingly under Hae Il’s nose as he chattered on.
“This is supposedly the most popular burger in Busan—three stacked meat patties smothered in cheese. Bet it tastes amazing, huh?”
Hae Il, lying in bed, gave no reply.
Sanha held the burger in front of Hae Il’s face for a moment, then sat down in the chair.
“This business trip was actually pretty fun. Sure, while I was away, Lee Seok got promoted to Executive VP of Strategic Planning—but you shouldn’t get too worked up over it. We expected this anyway. Still, it’s good having a friend, right? Someone to grumble on my behalf when I’m mad?”
Sanha took Hae Il’s thin hand in his own.
“Don’t get angry. I’m really okay, honestly.”
Gently patting Hae Il’s hand, Sanha then picked up the burger and took a big bite.
“By the way, I met the weirdest little magpie this time—plump and fluffy, seriously unusual.”
Sanha chuckled softly, then held up his left hand.
“See this bandage on my hand? That magpie put it on me. Pretty cute, huh?”
Suddenly, Sanha leaned close to Hae Il’s face and tilted his ear as if listening.
“What’s that? You say it’s so cute you want one too?”
Sanha set the burger down and rummaged through his pocket.
“Ta-da!”

It was an identical bandage, decorated with a cartoon character.
“That magpie gave me an extra one. Want me to put it on you?”
Still no answer.
“Alright, I’ll take that as a yes. Your big brother’ll put it on real nice for you.”
Sanha tore open the packaging and carefully stuck the bandage right in the middle of Hae Il’s forehead.
Then, for some inexplicable reason, he burst out laughing.
“Hey, you look really cute like that. Guess Jin Hae Il can be adorable too.”
Chortling to himself, Sanha sat back down and resumed eating his burger.
“That magpie really loved this burger. Ate it so enthusiastically—I honestly regretted giving it to her. So I went back and bought another one.”
Sanha kept talking and laughing to himself as he ate.

“No. I refuse to acknowledge what you just said.”
The lounge meant for VIPs was lavish and spacious.
Thus, her mother’s firm refusal echoed even more clearly.
Yeoreum turned to Se Jin, who sat beside her on the sofa, and asked,
“So you’d just let Dad die like this?”
“I’ll persuade Grandmother. Just forget about that idea of yours.”
“That grandmother—or chairwoman, whatever she calls herself—didn’t even properly look at Dad’s face. She treated you like you weren’t even human. How can you possibly persuade someone like that? You know it’s impossible, right?”
“…No matter what, I can’t send you to her. And certainly not hand over the power to recklessly control your entire life.”
“Mom.”
“Do you even understand why she’s demanding this? She wants to destroy you completely.”
“I figured that out too. It’s ridiculous, isn’t it? Other people adore their granddaughters—but ours? She looks at me like I’m her sworn enemy.”
“Exactly. That’s your grandmother. She doesn’t want to acknowledge you as her granddaughter and take you in—she wants to kill you. Legally.”
Se Jin sighed deeply and continued,
“She’s never once accepted me, no matter how hard I tried. She always treated me like filth clinging to your father’s side. During the six years we lived under her roof, I only wanted to die—but then you were born, so I tried my best to endure it. But in the end, I just couldn’t. So I asked your dad for a divorce, just to survive.”
“But Dad chose you over her, didn’t he?”
“…Yes. Even though she told him to send us away, your dad took our hands and walked out of that house himself. And he cut ties with your grandmother resolutely. That was twenty whole years ago.”
Se Jin took Yeoreum’s hands in hers.
“I’m truly grateful for your resolve. But Yeoreum—your grandmother isn’t just angry at me anymore. She’s filled with pure hatred, and she’ll take it all out on you instead. It’s obvious.”
“But even so, we have no other choice. There’s no other way.”
“I’ll find a way to persuade Grandmother.”
“She’s the kind of person who held onto her pride for twenty years. She’ll never back down from her stubbornness. Mom, right now, the only way to save Dad is to accept her demand.”
“…No. I… I can’t. Knowing full well she intends to destroy you—I can’t possibly agree to that.”
Yeoreum spoke firmly to Se Jin, who was shaking her head stubbornly,
“Mom, I can endure it.”
“Your grandmother isn’t someone you can just ‘endure’ through sheer willpower.”
“Then I’ll endure even more. No—I’ll endure it no matter what.”
“…Yeoreum.”
“We have a way to save Dad, so we have to take it. Don’t worry—I’m Jeong Yeoreum, your and Dad’s daughter. I’m not someone who rolls over easily. You know that, right?”
“But…”
Yeoreum hugged Se Jin, who was now crying, and said gently,
“Don’t cry. I’m actually grateful—because I have a way to save Dad.”

“Kang Ju Hwa shall assume full responsibility for all surgical and hospital expenses for Jeong Jung Hyeon until he is capable of independent daily living. This includes covering the living expenses of Kim Se Jin, who will remain by Jeong Jung Hyeon’s side to care for him.”
The Director of PR Group’s Legal Team read aloud from the contract.
“In exchange, Jeong Yeoreum shall belong to Kang Ju Hwa for the next twenty years starting from the date of this contract. Jeong Yeoreum shall have no right to refuse any task assigned by Kang Ju Hwa. Additionally, for twenty years, Jeong Yeoreum shall have no private contact whatsoever with Kim Se Jin or Jeong Jung Hyeon. Violation of this clause will result in Jeong Jung Hyeon’s family being liable for ten times the total amount of treatment costs already incurred.”
Se Jin covered her face with both hands.
Tears streamed down uncontrollably.
Yeoreum, seated confidently across from Ju Hwa on the sofa, spoke up,
“I have two additional clauses I’d like to add.”

Ju Hwa crossed her legs arrogantly and asked,
“Additional clauses? What if I refuse?”
“If you don’t listen to me, this contract could be declared invalid later on.”
“What?”
“What if Dad finishes all his treatment and I just disappear completely? Would you still be okay with that?”
The Legal Affairs Director glanced tensely between Ju Hwa and Yeoreum.
Ju Hwa finally asked,
“What clauses do you want?”
“First, Kang Ju Hwa is obligated to provide Jeong Yeoreum with monthly updates regarding Jeong Jung Hyeon’s treatment progress.”
“Monthly is out of the question. Once a year.”
“Fine. Once a year. But I must see both my parents via video—I need to confirm they’re still alive. After all, Chairwoman, you might lie to me.”
“Then the video will be exactly ten seconds long.”
“Alright.”
“What’s your second clause?”
“Jeong Yeoreum shall comply with Kang Ju Hwa’s instructions, except when those instructions violate morality or conscience—in which case, she reserves the right to refuse.”
Yeoreum gave a slight smile and added,
“I can’t become a criminal, can I? Besides, this is actually for your benefit, Chairwoman.”
“What nonsense is this?”
“A contract signed under coercion can be invalidated. But if this clause is included, it proves there was no coercion—so you won’t suffer any disadvantage.”
At Ju Hwa’s glance, the Legal Affairs Director nodded.
“Fine. We’ll add it.”
Following her instruction, the legal team members in the corner of the room quickly typed on their keyboards, printed out a revised contract, and brought it over.
Ju Hwa pressed her fingerprint first.
Yeoreum took a short breath, checked the document, and firmly pressed her own fingerprint.
Se Jin finally broke down and burst into tears.
My Arch-enemy Sealed My Memory and Said That He is My Husband
This is an incredibly captivating story that you absolutely shouldn’t miss! I’ll give a brief introduction here, and below you’ll find a detailed synopsis of the plot.

The female lead is a fierce and powerful demon king. The male lead is a once-in-a-millennium celestial lord, admired by the entire cultivation world.
They are equally matched, legendary rivals who have battled for centuries.
In the final duel, the female lead is gravely injured. The male lead saves her, seals her memories, and hides her true identity. He tells her that he is her fiancé. His entire life has been flawless—except for the one thing he never expected, never controlled, and never wanted to control: falling for his greatest enemy. She is his inner demon, his obsession.
When the female lead regains her memories, she is furious at his deception.
She makes his life a living hell.
And somehow, the male lead—possibly a total masochist—doesn’t mind at all. In fact, he’s happy she’s paying attention to him.
Yep, we’re back to my favorite trope: male lead suffering. If you love this kind of story, jump into the pit with me now!!!
Intro
Dong Xia lost her memory.
Her handsome and extremely powerful fiancé Li Qing comforted her: “It’s okay if you can’t remember. I’ll always be with you.”
Everyone thought Dong Xia’s ancestors must have burned incense to get such a perfect fiancé. He was the number one person in the immortal realm, yet he remained chaste and only loved her.
…
The day before marrying her fiancé, Dong Xia finally remembered everything.
She wasn’t suffering from memory loss at all.
Her arch-enemy had made her fake her death, destroyed her cultivation, replaced her memories, and pretended to be her deeply in love fiancé.
No wonder he said, “It’s okay if you can’t remember”!
Dong Xia laughed coldly as she pulled out her long knife: Li Qing, prepare to die 🙂
*
Li Qing, as the supreme being of the immortal realm, was the people’s shining beacon.
The only unknown stain in his life was his affection for Dong Xia, the ruler of the demon realm.
In the final battle of the war between immortals and demons, the sky collapsed and the earth shattered. The ruler of the demon realm was finally slain under the sword of the supreme being of the immortal realm, and everyone in the immortal realm applauded.
The cultivation world lost a ruler of the demon realm.
And in the back mountain of Li Qing’s cave dwelling, he secretly hid away a fiancée.
