The Grand Temptation (Completed Main Story) - Chapter 66
The moment she became aware that she had fallen in love, her body and mind reached their peak, and Yuli finally let out a cry, bursting into tears.
What am I going to do?
Seeing Yuli break down sobbing, Jae Ho looked startled and pulled her into his arms, gently soothing her.
“I’m sorry. I tormented you too harshly.”
That wasn’t why at all…
Yet instead of clearing up the misunderstanding, Yuli wrapped her arms around Jae Ho’s back and held him tightly. How could she hide her feelings? Just realizing she was in love made it hard to breathe, and she felt utterly lost about what to do next.
“It’s okay now.”
At his tender touch stroking her back, tears once again spilled freely from Yuli’s eyes.
Right—it’s not my fault. It’s yours. You’re being so gentle again, that’s why.
She shouldn’t have taken lightly that warning: protect your body, but what about your heart? Telling herself she was trained enough to handle it was just foolishness… She should’ve been more careful. That careless flirtation would inevitably leave deep burns on both body and soul. Yet even knowing this, she couldn’t push Jae Ho away.
Still silently weeping in Jae Ho’s arms, Yuli drifted off to sleep.
Once he confirmed she was asleep, Jae Ho carefully sat up. He stepped out of bed, went into the bathroom, and returned with a warm, damp towel. Taking care not to wake her, he gently wiped her tear-streaked face. Yuli let out a faint whimper and shifted slightly in her sleep, but thankfully didn’t awaken.
After wiping away her tears, instead of lying back down, Jae Ho sat on the edge of the bed and gazed silently at Yuli.
Tonight, she was clearly different in some way. What could it be? It didn’t seem to be just because of the wine.
Even the slightest touch made her shiver and her brows furrow. To put it more precisely, she seemed shaken by emotions she couldn’t control.
