The Duke Only Needs My Child (Completed Main Story) - Chapter 7
Beneath the moonlight streaming through the window, the man’s large body was fully exposed.
His collarbones stood out sharply, his chest was broad and firm, his torso thick enough that both arms couldn’t encircle it, and his abs were tightly packed without a single gap.
It was undeniably the body of a man.
Blair stared at his body with eyes as if seeing something utterly unfamiliar.
She had seen this body countless times even in her past life—so why did it feel so startlingly new now?
‘Could it be… his expression?’
Unlike in her previous life, when he had feigned love, this time his blue eyes brimmed solely with desire.
In that moment, Blair thought she finally understood what it meant to be overwhelmed by someone’s gaze.
Her body tensed up tightly from nerves. Her heart pounded rapidly. Merely by looking at him, she felt as though she might be devoured alive.
Suddenly, she grew afraid of him—this man wearing a stranger’s face. Yet, contradictorily, a tingling heat began to rise from deep within her belly.
Even though she had returned in a body that didn’t know him, it still remembered the pleasure he had given her in her past life.
It felt pathetic—after crossing death’s threshold and returning to the past, she was still reacting to him like this. Since her body refused to obey her will, Blair decided she’d rather not look at him at all.
Seeing his wife stubbornly turn her head away, Herdin’s brow furrowed.
She had been the one to boldly chatter on about marital duties without a trace of fear, yet now that she lay on the bed, she wore a face as if about to cry.
“If I go on like this, won’t I seem less like someone building a ‘good relationship’ and more like a bastard raping his wife?”
Blair flinched at his words. Reluctantly, her gaze returned to him—it seemed she had no intention of pretending that strange clause in their contract had never existed.
As if he’d been waiting for this, Herdin pressed his lips firmly against hers.
“Mmm….”
Blocked by the bedsheet with no escape, the kiss grew even deeper and more insistent. A faint, moaning sigh escaped through Blair’s parted lips.
Herdin released Blair’s breathless lips and trailed his mouth down to her snow-white throat.
Her skin carried a sweet fragrance—sometimes like flowers, sometimes like fruit.
Intoxicated by that scent, he kissed along her neck and the curve of her shoulders, then tore away the bothersome nightgown slip. The garment, deliberately made flimsy, ripped apart easily.
Beneath it, her slender body was revealed—far lovelier than the silhouette had suggested.
Startled by the sudden chill against her bare skin, Blair hastily tried to cover herself, but Herdin effortlessly stopped her.
He savored the woman in his arms. Her skin was as soft as fresh cream—yet no matter how long he held it in his mouth, it wouldn’t melt away.
Blair pushed weakly against his rigid shoulders and choked back a sob.
“This… this isn’t what I want.”
She knew he was doing this out of consideration for her.
But she hated how his actions overlapped with those of the man from her past.
She feared she might once again mistake his touch, his warmth, for love—on her own foolish whim.
“Just… just do it. Please.”
Yet instead of pulling away, he only drew her closer, catching her waist as she tried to retreat further.
“Ah!”
Herdin quickly realized she was lying. Seeing her legs tremble faintly, one corner of his mouth tilted upward.
“Well now, this part seems to like it.”
Ignoring Blair’s resistance, he focused on acclimating her body to his. The resistance against his fingers was surprisingly strong.
At her reaction, a dull ache began spreading through his lower abdomen, growing heavy and insistent.
His desire, already swollen beyond measure, urged him to follow her words—but he gritted his teeth and suppressed it.
Of course, even if she cried, she would still be beautiful.
Imagining that sight, he wondered if perhaps fulfilling only his own desire—as she’d suggested—might excite him even more. But he feared this fragile woman might shatter under such treatment.
He couldn’t afford to lose the crucial witness to ‘that’ incident to a momentary impulse. That simply wouldn’t do.
Eventually, judging Blair ready, Herdin positioned himself above her.
Blinking dazedly, Blair snapped back to awareness as a large shadow loomed over her.
The moment she met his burning blue eyes gazing down at her, she felt an intense heat—as if scorched by fire. It was the very presence that had been impossible to ignore since earlier.
Her first night with him in her past life had been sweet yet painful. Partly because it was her first time, but more so because the act itself had simply been too overwhelming.
Remembering that pain, Blair’s body instinctively stiffened.
Noticing this, Herdin wrapped her legs around his waist and murmured softly,
“Relax. It’s alright.”
The naive Blair of her past life had believed those words—but the Blair of this life knew better.
It was a lie.
Trending
Those words were a blatant lie—a demon’s sweet whisper meant to lull her into complacency before devouring her.
And yet, even knowing his true intentions, she couldn’t bring herself to push away this cruel, beautiful demon.
As Blair hesitated—unable to relax or push him away—Herdin kissed her again, pressing their bodies even closer.
His deliberate action made Blair’s body burn with heat. Noticing this, Herdin slowly—but mercilessly—lowered himself onto her.
Reacting instinctively to the unfamiliar pain, Blair arched her back away—but Herdin’s arm pulled her waist firmly toward him.
Deeper. Even deeper.
Gritting his teeth, Herdin exhaled a ragged breath. His patience was already at its limit just waiting for her to calm down.
The very woman driving him mad seemed utterly unaware of how extraordinary his restraint truly was.
He abandoned all pretense of that hollow talk about building a “good relationship” and gave in to his desire, ready to explode.
Finally losing control, Herdin began to move against her. Blair’s vision blurred, and she bit down hard on her lip.
Gradually, though her body had forgotten this strange yet familiar act, her subconscious stirred awake with remembered sensations.
Unable to catch her breath from the dizzying pleasure, Blair gasped helplessly. Watching her, Herdin’s brow furrowed.
“Breathe, Blair.”
His rough voice, scraping against her throat, echoed in her ear. Yet despite his words of concern, he only grew more forceful.
Amid her fading consciousness, Blair instinctively clung to him. Though she knew this demon tormenting her was him, she had no choice but to hold him close.
In this moment, only the two of them existed in the world.
When Herdin finally reached his climax, he cooled his heated body and admired the woman collapsed in his arms.
She was beautiful, completely enveloped by him.
Objectively, she had always possessed a lovely face—and though he’d never denied it, he’d never felt particularly moved by it either.
But now, for the first time, that fact struck him anew.
Her moonlit, porcelain-white skin, her violet eyes glistening with moisture, her lips reddened from biting, even the trembling way she whispered his name—all of it seemed endearing.
…Damn it all to hell.
For a fleeting moment, he nearly forgot whose daughter she was.
Disgust surged within him at his own weakness—yet his thirst for her remained unquenched. He couldn’t stop.
This feeling was nothing more than momentary desire.
Once he held her through the night until dawn, these absurd thoughts would surely vanish—like melting snow.
With that thought, Herdin pulled her close once more.
“…Herdin?”
Blinking groggily, Blair belatedly grasped the situation and squirmed—but it was useless.
Herdin felt an odd sense of satisfaction watching her cling to him again.
His large, solid body became a prison, caging her in as he devoured her like a ravenous beast.
All through the long winter night, without pause.
Buried in that endless, hazy swamp of pleasure, Blair could think of only one thing, repeating it over and over in her mind.
Don’t forget, Blair.
He doesn’t love you.
[This is the timeline separator]“Mmm….”
Feeling sunlight brush against her eyelids, Blair slowly lifted her heavy lids.
As her blurry vision cleared, the room—both unfamiliar and familiar—came into view.
It was the chamber of the Duchess of Delmarque, where she’d stayed before returning to the past.
For a moment, she nearly believed she’d only dreamed of traveling back in time—until she noticed the child’s dolls and belongings, always scattered around the room, were gone.
Moreover, the dull, throbbing ache throughout her body confirmed that last night’s second “first night” with him hadn’t been a dream.
‘Even if my memories remain, my body has returned to the past—so this pain is only natural.’
Her body felt heavier and more sore than it had even on that very first night with him.
Even when she’d drifted into exhausted sleep, overwhelmed by his relentless, dizzying pleasure, Herdin hadn’t let her go—he’d acted as if entrusting her with something vital.
Blair’s last memory before slipping in and out of unconsciousness repeatedly was of his broad back receding into the dim dawn light, leaving her behind as she slept, utterly spent.
Only then did Blair understand.
‘So this was your true intention all along.’
How desperately he must have clung to her side until morning in her past life—just to extract the truth from her.
And how naive she’d been to believe him.

Now, miraculously returned to the past, she finally faced his true feelings—and they were colder and more bitter than she’d imagined.
Yet, strangely, she felt relieved. At least she no longer needed to feel guilty for using him to achieve her own goals.
Calmly tucking away her emotions, Blair forced her heavy body upright and tugged the bell-pull.

My Arch-enemy Sealed My Memory and Said That He is My Husband
This is an incredibly captivating story that you absolutely shouldn’t miss! I’ll give a brief introduction here, and below you’ll find a detailed synopsis of the plot.

The female lead is a fierce and powerful demon king. The male lead is a once-in-a-millennium celestial lord, admired by the entire cultivation world.
They are equally matched, legendary rivals who have battled for centuries.
In the final duel, the female lead is gravely injured. The male lead saves her, seals her memories, and hides her true identity. He tells her that he is her fiancé. His entire life has been flawless—except for the one thing he never expected, never controlled, and never wanted to control: falling for his greatest enemy. She is his inner demon, his obsession.
When the female lead regains her memories, she is furious at his deception.
She makes his life a living hell.
And somehow, the male lead—possibly a total masochist—doesn’t mind at all. In fact, he’s happy she’s paying attention to him.
Yep, we’re back to my favorite trope: male lead suffering. If you love this kind of story, jump into the pit with me now!!!
Intro
Dong Xia lost her memory.
Her handsome and extremely powerful fiancé Li Qing comforted her: “It’s okay if you can’t remember. I’ll always be with you.”
Everyone thought Dong Xia’s ancestors must have burned incense to get such a perfect fiancé. He was the number one person in the immortal realm, yet he remained chaste and only loved her.
…
The day before marrying her fiancé, Dong Xia finally remembered everything.
She wasn’t suffering from memory loss at all.
Her arch-enemy had made her fake her death, destroyed her cultivation, replaced her memories, and pretended to be her deeply in love fiancé.
No wonder he said, “It’s okay if you can’t remember”!
Dong Xia laughed coldly as she pulled out her long knife: Li Qing, prepare to die 🙂
*
Li Qing, as the supreme being of the immortal realm, was the people’s shining beacon.
The only unknown stain in his life was his affection for Dong Xia, the ruler of the demon realm.
In the final battle of the war between immortals and demons, the sky collapsed and the earth shattered. The ruler of the demon realm was finally slain under the sword of the supreme being of the immortal realm, and everyone in the immortal realm applauded.
The cultivation world lost a ruler of the demon realm.
And in the back mountain of Li Qing’s cave dwelling, he secretly hid away a fiancée.
Notes:
1. The female lead is white on the outside, black on the inside, and the queen of flattery; the male lead repeatedly tests the edge of darkness, a VIP guest at the crematorium.
