When Blair stepped down from the carriage, a burly man waiting in front of the villa courteously bowed and greeted her with proper etiquette.

Surprised by this unexpected companion, Blair instinctively accepted his greeting and glanced at Mikhail, who smiled faintly and explained.

Blair realized what Mikhail meant and was shocked, yet he was right—scandals were better the bigger they grew.
After exchanging brief greetings, the three entered the villa together.
Inside, the villa was quiet and spotless, devoid of people. Though uninhabited, it was furnished with simple necessities, making it seem perfect for a short stay.
Blair stared blankly out the large window in the living room at the lush forest beyond.
Only the rustling of wind through branches and occasional birdsong filled the peaceful scenery. Listening to those sounds, her mind relaxed as well.
This atmosphere stood in stark contrast to the Duke’s residence, where even stepping outside one’s room meant hearing constant human activity, always pulling her into a busy rhythm.

While Blair wandered near the large window, gazing outside, the tall man who had briefly disappeared reappeared holding teacups.
“Here you go, both of you—you must be thirsty.”
“Thank you.”
