The next morning, Blair came down to the dining room and, as always, had breakfast with Herdin. Only the clinking of their cutlery echoed in the dining room.

Amid the now-familiar silence, Blair recalled her conversation with Agnes a few days prior.

After the counseling session ended, when Blair had asked, “Then, when can you perform the hypnosis?” Agnes had replied with an awkward expression.

‘That part requires His Grace’s prior consent. He specifically instructed so when we began the counseling.’

Blair assumed Herdin wanted to observe the hypnosis process again, just as he had before.

Since Agnes clearly wouldn’t proceed without Herdin’s approval, Blair had reluctantly backed down.

But after meeting Katrina yesterday, her urgency had grown—not just because of her contract with Herdin.

She was curious. What truth was it that frightened Katrina so deeply?

“Herdin.”

Instead of answering, Herdin simply lifted his gaze to look at her.

Blair immediately got to the point.

“They say I need your consent to proceed with the hypnosis. Will you give it?”

Herdin, who had been silently listening, paused his gaze.

Blair continued.

“Since they say my condition has improved significantly through counseling, perhaps we could try the hypnosis again—”
