The Bad Husband (Completed Main Story) - Chapter 49
Woo Jin stepped out of the meeting room, his expression unchanged despite the endless relay of meetings.
The plan to shut down the factory in China and relocate it to Vietnam was now in its final stages. Lately, his schedule—already packed down to the minute—had become even tighter, yet he showed no sign of fatigue or exhaustion, leaving Director Park amazed at his stamina.
“What’s the next appointment?”
“You have a video call with Team Leader Jo, who’s currently on a business trip in Vietnam. But you have about 30 minutes before that. Would you like a strong cup of coffee?”
“Yeah. I could really use some caffeine right now.”
“You seem to have cut back on smoking quite a bit lately.”
“Yeah. Tae Eun hates it.”
Director Park smiled faintly as they stepped into the elevator, taken aback by how naturally Woo Jin had replied. Having served Woo Jin for years, he’d never seen him change one of his long-standing habits because of someone else—especially when that someone was none other than his wife. Director Park felt proud as if it were his own accomplishment.
But that smile didn’t last long. Upon arriving at the office, they were informed of an unexpected visitor. For the first time in recent memory—even amid an increasingly grueling schedule that left others drained—Woo Jin’s brow furrowed involuntarily.
As he opened the office door, he saw Jung Ji Eun spring up from the sofa as if she’d been waiting, greeting him with cheerful enthusiasm.
“Husband! I heard your meeting might run late, but you finished earlier than I thought?”
Her face, glowing with joy, showed no trace of wrinkles despite being over fifty—clearly benefiting greatly from modern medicine.
“What brings you here?”
Even Tae Eun, his wife, rarely came to the office. Partly because she disliked being the center of attention, but mostly out of consideration for the staff’s comfort. Thus, Woo Jin couldn’t help but feel deeply displeased that his mother-in-law, Ji Eun, had shown up at this place Tae Eun herself avoided.
“Oh dear, I heard my son-in-law’s been extremely busy lately. The news said you’re moving the China factory to Vietnam—your stock prices are surging too! I wanted to ask Tae Eun about it, but last time you specifically told me not to call her alone. And she won’t come by herself either. How could I possibly keep my curiosity bottled up? Plus, I’m so grateful that you arranged that meeting with Director Kang and my husband. So I thought I’d drop by to say thank you while I’m at it.”

Several months after transmigrating into a book, Yu Wu found herself facing the demon lord Li You, who could no longer conceal his dragon horns. With one hand on her aching waist and the other gripping a sharp sword, she stared at him.
The demon lord’s eyes were red with fury:
“This is all your doing! Today, I won’t rest until I kill you!”
Yu Wu rubbed her temples. Putting aside the taboo against bloodshed during pregnancy, wasn’t it this very man who willingly walked into her trap that day?!
