That Night's Circumstance (Completed Main Story) - Chapter 7
In Ho scowled fiercely.
He, now in Soo Yeon’s body, was clad only in a slip, without even a thin cardigan.
His face involuntarily twisted into a grimace.
Acting almost on instinct, he quickly turned around.
Meanwhile, Soo Yeon, having sensed the problem, hurried forward with a startled expression and stood in front of In Ho, blocking his view of himself.
Soon, Myung Woo’s flustered voice rang out.
“Oh—uh, uh—I didn’t know you were awake, sister-in-law! I wouldn’t have come up if I’d known…!”
Still facing away, Myung Woo stammered, unable to hide his shock.
He looked so utterly flustered that Soo Yeon herself felt disoriented.
Her lips moved reflexively, ahead of her thoughts.
She had completely forgotten that right now, she was wearing In Ho’s face.
“Oh, no! It’s not your fault, Myung Woo—you couldn’t have known. I should’ve been more careful!”
“…Huh?”
Myung Woo turned his dazed face halfway toward her.
His eyebrows twitched as if he’d just heard something impossible.
Only then did Soo Yeon fully realize her current state again.
“Oh—gah!”
A flustered gasp escaped involuntarily between her teeth.
“…Hyung?”
The more this happened, the deeper Myung Woo’s confusion grew.
Soo Yeon couldn’t even move a muscle.
Her vision went dark.
Just then, she felt a poke at her side.
Turning her head, she saw In Ho right beside her, whispering into her ear.
“Take your hand off your mouth this instant.”
Though his tone was forceful, Soo Yeon had no time to feel annoyed.
Staring straight ahead with wide, lantern-like eyes, she hurriedly removed the hand covering her mouth.
But it was already too late—Myung Woo had seen it all.
Instinctively, Soo Yeon swallowed hard.
The thick silence pressed down heavily, and the sound of her Adam’s apple bobbing echoed clearly.
Though even that was unbearably awkward, Soo Yeon clenched her eyes shut tightly.
By now, all possible suspicion was practically confirmed beyond doubt.
So her only option was to avoid making any further mistakes.
Gripping her hands firmly together, she resolved to stay focused—when suddenly, she sensed In Ho peering out from behind her.
“Ugh, just turn around and wait a sec.”
“Huh?”
“I’ll put on a cardigan and come out, so turn around and wait a moment, okay?”
In Ho snapped, his face contorted in frustration.
Myung Woo could only blink repeatedly, unable to form a proper reply.
He began wondering whether the sister-in-law before him was truly the same person he’d always known.
Soo Yeon had always been calm and composed—everyone agreed she was the perfect bride.
True to that image, he’d never once seen her lose her temper.
Yet here she was, not only speaking informally but actually yelling.
Her current demeanor resembled In Ho far more than the Soo Yeon he knew.
‘But that’s not what matters right now…’
Frowning uncomfortably, Myung Woo turned his back.
He had no choice—if he knew his sister-in-law was practically undressed, he couldn’t possibly stare brazenly at her.
With his view blocked, his other senses sharpened.
He clearly sensed the swift, coordinated movement happening behind him.
It was In Ho—in Soo Yeon’s body—quickly heading toward the bedroom.
Trending
Soo Yeon glanced helplessly between the bedroom where In Ho had disappeared and Myung Woo’s back, then quickly hurried toward the bedroom herself.
Inside, she saw In Ho—in her body—searching for and putting on a cardigan.
Soo Yeon firmly closed the bedroom door and faced In Ho—no, her own face.
“Oh, what do we do? What now?”
“What do you mean ‘what’? Since it’s come to this, we’ve got no choice but to go through with it.”
“Go through with what? What exactly are we supposed to ‘go through with’? Is this even something we can just push through?”
“If we don’t push through, do you have any better ideas right now?”
“But are we seriously just going to barge ahead blindly?”
“Ugh, I don’t know! Since I don’t know, just change your clothes first.”
“Why do I have to change clothes all of a sudden?”
“Do you really plan to go to the set looking like that?”
“Oh, so you’re seriously telling me to go to the set in your place?”
Soo Yeon sank down onto the floor in despair.
Seeing this, In Ho raised his voice again.
“I told you not to make that face with my expression!”
Still scowling, he knelt down beside her, grabbed her long legs bent in an ‘M’ shape, and forcefully straightened them out.
Then, staring directly at his own unfamiliar face—still not quite used to it—he lectured her.
“Do you even understand what this body is worth? Do you have any idea how much effort and work I’ve poured into building this body?”
He’d blurted out the words without thinking, but Soo Yeon clearly wasn’t listening—her expression showed she hadn’t heard a word.
Heaving an involuntary sigh at her look, he couldn’t deny understanding her state either.
Taking a deep breath, In Ho reached out and grasped his own broad shoulders—as vast as the Pacific.
“Look, Choi Soo Yeon—please calm down. I get it—you’re really shocked right now. If I’m struggling to keep my head straight, how much worse must it be for you? I know, I really do. But you have to pull yourself together. Honestly, no matter how I think about it, this really is the only option we’ve got—for both of us.”
Soo Yeon looked at him with a dazed expression.
Her voice trembled as if she might burst into tears at any second.
“Oh, what do I do? Okay, fine—I’ll go to the set. But then what? Are you seriously asking me to act in your place?”
“There’s a script in the guest room—grab it and head out. I already checked which scenes we’re shooting today, so memorize your lines thoroughly on the way to the set.”
“So you really want me to act?”
“We have to shoot today, don’t we? Do you even realize how many crew members are gathered on set right now because of this shoot? It’s pointless to suddenly claim you’re sick—they just saw you standing perfectly fine on two legs. Myung Woo won’t buy it.”
“Ugh, what on earth am I supposed to do…?”
Soo Yeon lowered her head in despair.
She wanted nothing more than to burst into tears.
Not only had she woken up in In Ho’s body, but now she was being forced to act—a role completely foreign to her fate.
Her vision darkened again, and she desperately wished she could just vanish somewhere.
Seo In Ho and Choi Soo Yeon were utterly different people.
Unlike her, who’d spent her entire life tiptoeing under the watchful, judgmental eyes of adoptive parents, In Ho had always walked with confidence, carving his own path.
How could she possibly stand on set pretending to be him?
Soo Yeon was terrified.
She feared the reality of becoming In Ho overnight—and even more, she feared potentially tarnishing his name on set in his place.
As these worries piled up, her expression grew increasingly gloomy.
Then, In Ho firmly grasped her shoulders again.
“Choi Soo Yeon—look me straight in the eyes.”
His resolute voice pierced through her ears.
Slowly, she lifted her head and looked at him, her eyes brimming with tears.
Reflected in her pupils was his face—now calm and composed, as if he’d regained his composure in that brief moment.
“I’m not asking you to perfectly become me. But you have to go to the set. Just read a few lines of dialogue for me.”
“It’s obvious I’ll mess up and call NG.”
“That’s fine. The director will yell a bit—that’s all. Then just put on a suitably apologetic face and say you’re not feeling well. After that, I’ll make sure Myung Woo handles the rest.”
As he spoke, In Ho gently took her limp hand in his.
Soo Yeon glanced at him once, then looked down.
Her own familiar hand now rested atop In Ho’s thick, unfamiliar one.

It was an utterly strange sight.
Yet despite that, the warmth she felt on her hand sent a shiver through her entire body.
Slowly, she lifted her gaze to look at In Ho again.
Though she clearly saw her own face before her, she suddenly had the odd illusion that she was looking at In Ho himself.
It felt exactly as if In Ho were pleading with her desperately,
gripping her hand tightly, begging her to please pull herself together.
The moment she received that message—perhaps only imagined—Soo Yeon let out a deep sigh.
“…Fine. I’ll do as you say—for now.”
She couldn’t possibly refuse the first request she’d ever received from In Ho.

“We’ll start shooting in five minutes!”
A man’s booming voice filled the set. Soo Yeon, waiting nearby, flinched slightly.
In her mind, the few lines of dialogue she’d memorized in the car replayed chaotically.
And In Ho’s words before coming here kept circling in her head:
“I’m not asking you to perfectly become me. But you have to go to the set. Just read a few lines of dialogue for me.”
Just a few lines.
Just as he’d said—just a few lines.
Would that really get her out of this abyssal situation?
She tried to calm herself, but waves of anxiety kept crashing over her uncontrollably.
She had to act—something she’d never done before—in front of a sea of complete strangers.
She couldn’t even picture herself acting, and the future awaiting her afterward felt utterly unpredictable.
Because of that, her heart kept fluttering nervously.
Her tension was so intense it even brought back a dull, throbbing headache she’d long forgotten.
Still, she did her absolute best to appear composed.
She felt she had to.
Only now did she begin to understand, a little, why In Ho had so insistently said they had to go to the set no matter what.
Holding her breath, Soo Yeon scanned her surroundings.
The number of people filling the set was impossible to count at a glance.
There were simply too many to take in all at once.
All these people had gathered here at dawn, sacrificing sleep, just to finish one film.
Suddenly, In Ho’s face overlaid in her mind onto the crew before her—his face returning late at night after a shoot.
Even exhausted, he’d often stayed up late into the night, poring over the script.
She’d always thought it was just his incredible passion for acting.
But now, she wondered if it might have been more than that.
Perhaps he’d known all along—
that countless crew members had come here, giving their absolute best at every moment, just to create the glowing version of him onscreen.
Knowing that, he must have pushed through the crushing fatigue night after night, relentlessly practicing with intense discipline.
Soo Yeon took a deep breath and squeezed her eyes shut tightly.
The weight of responsibility pressed heavily on her heart.
In response, she clenched her fists even tighter.
Though indescribable pressure still trembled at the base of her throat, she wanted to do well.
She might not be able to perfectly fool everyone into believing she was In Ho,
but at the very least, she wouldn’t let the name “top star Seo In Ho” be tarnished.
She wanted to do her absolute best—even if just a little—to honor the hard work of every crew member present.
Repeating to herself over and over that she could do it, Soo Yeon slowly took a step forward.
Her eyes, now wide open, shone with a clarity she’d never shown before.
At least, that was true—until someone secretly grabbed her wrist.
“Oppa.”
An unwelcome touch, accompanied by an unfamiliar voice, caught her by the ankle.
Instinctively, Soo Yeon turned her head.

Reflected in her eyes was the face of a stunning beauty with striking features.
My Arch-enemy Sealed My Memory and Said That He is My Husband
This is an incredibly captivating story that you absolutely shouldn’t miss! I’ll give a brief introduction here, and below you’ll find a detailed synopsis of the plot.

The female lead is a fierce and powerful demon king. The male lead is a once-in-a-millennium celestial lord, admired by the entire cultivation world.
They are equally matched, legendary rivals who have battled for centuries.
In the final duel, the female lead is gravely injured. The male lead saves her, seals her memories, and hides her true identity. He tells her that he is her fiancé. His entire life has been flawless—except for the one thing he never expected, never controlled, and never wanted to control: falling for his greatest enemy. She is his inner demon, his obsession.
When the female lead regains her memories, she is furious at his deception.
She makes his life a living hell.
And somehow, the male lead—possibly a total masochist—doesn’t mind at all. In fact, he’s happy she’s paying attention to him.
Yep, we’re back to my favorite trope: male lead suffering. If you love this kind of story, jump into the pit with me now!!!
Intro
Dong Xia lost her memory.
Her handsome and extremely powerful fiancé Li Qing comforted her: “It’s okay if you can’t remember. I’ll always be with you.”
Everyone thought Dong Xia’s ancestors must have burned incense to get such a perfect fiancé. He was the number one person in the immortal realm, yet he remained chaste and only loved her.
…
The day before marrying her fiancé, Dong Xia finally remembered everything.
She wasn’t suffering from memory loss at all.
Her arch-enemy had made her fake her death, destroyed her cultivation, replaced her memories, and pretended to be her deeply in love fiancé.
No wonder he said, “It’s okay if you can’t remember”!
Dong Xia laughed coldly as she pulled out her long knife: Li Qing, prepare to die 🙂
*
Li Qing, as the supreme being of the immortal realm, was the people’s shining beacon.
The only unknown stain in his life was his affection for Dong Xia, the ruler of the demon realm.
In the final battle of the war between immortals and demons, the sky collapsed and the earth shattered. The ruler of the demon realm was finally slain under the sword of the supreme being of the immortal realm, and everyone in the immortal realm applauded.
The cultivation world lost a ruler of the demon realm.
And in the back mountain of Li Qing’s cave dwelling, he secretly hid away a fiancée.
