Felix, panting heavily with breath catching in his throat, still didn’t forget to scan his surroundings. He was wary of Caliph, who might appear at any moment from anywhere.

‘Trying to find clues in books seems futile. Maybe if I talk with Ibelia, I’ll gain something.’

Felix thought this as he gazed at the Crown Princess’s palace, now right before his eyes.

He had pondered for days on end, yet the only conclusion he reached was that something was deeply amiss.

Divine power was only valuable if gods truly existed. No matter how much he insisted he hadn’t been destroyed but merely sealed away in slumber, he never would have awakened if Caliph hadn’t appeared.

With a solemn expression, Felix moved his short legs even faster. Just as he was about to step through the entrance of the Crown Princess’s palace, he abruptly changed direction and disappeared into the grass.

Ibelia, whom he’d expected to be in her chambers, was exiting the palace, leading a group of attendants.

What was strange was that Ibelia’s expression was unusually stiff. Moreover, even her personal maid following behind wore a grim look, as if being dragged to the execution grounds.

Clearly, something troubling had happened to her. After holding his breath and hiding his body, Felix ultimately decided to follow her.

The moment Ibelia entered the Glass Chamber, she hurried toward Empress Eustia, who had already arrived.

“Your Majesty.”

She bowed neatly toward the Empress in proper greeting. Only then did Eustia lift her head and offer an artificial smile.
