How should he put it? She seemed full of life, perhaps?
Until now, he’d assumed she was far duller than Caliph, but that had clearly been a complete misconception.
“You always just groaned inwardly, so I thought you were bad at expressing emotions—but maybe not so much after all?”
The thought slipped out of his mouth before he could stop it. Perhaps it sounded suspicious, because Ibelia—who had been wearing a dazed expression this whole time—now furrowed her brow.
“…How did you suddenly become human?”
“Well… strictly speaking, I didn’t turn from a hamster into a human. I just borrowed the hamster’s body for a while.”
Felix explained with a shrug. Yet instead of clearing her doubts, even deeper suspicion floated plainly across Ibelia’s face.
