Late at night, Ibelia gazed blankly out the window, unable to fall asleep easily.

All day long, her heart had been pounding pleasantly, almost strangely so—precisely ever since she’d met Edwik.

Though it might sound grand to call it a misunderstanding, once even the uneasy tension between her and Edwik had been clearly resolved, she felt as if she’d regained peace of mind for the first time in ages.

Ibelia murmured softly as she stared absently at the night sky. She couldn’t remember the last time she’d gazed at the heavens so calmly.

Perhaps because her heart finally felt at ease, the moon—which always seemed cold and distant—looked unusually beautiful tonight.

Ibelia enjoyed gazing at the night sky for quite a while. Then, an unexpected voice slipped into her ears.

“Is your heart as tangled as ever tonight?”
