Cheon Shin Ah looked at the collapsed person with a troubled expression. Can they be woken up? She tapped them lightly, and Michael and Kim Ye Ri stirred slightly.

Michael didn’t say anything, but Kim Ye Ri grimaced and murmured, “Ugh… Professor…”—clearly not having a pleasant dream. Cheon Shin Ah considered interrupting the dream but decided against it, as a more pressing issue lay right before her.

Something pure white fluttered past from all directions. An eerie laughter, seemingly from something that might or might not be a child, echoed around.

Just as she was calmly pondering this, Park Ha Young took action first.

Since these things had started posing a direct threat, she couldn’t just leave them be. Drawing her pure white greatsword—the same one she used to cleave dimensions—she swung her arm once. Though her movement was wild and careless, lacking any proper sword technique, that single swing silenced all the laughter.

“Oh, impressive.” Cheon Shin Ah, who had been checking on Kim Ye Ri and Michael, stood up. Though the laughter had vanished, the presence hadn’t completely disappeared.

“I’ll wrap this up quickly, so wait just a moment.”

He gave her a brief smile before gripping his sword with a serious expression. For a fleeting moment, she saw Sin’s ever-fading figure overlapping his own. In the forest, now silent except for the whispering wind rustling through the trees, she wondered: With nothing visible and no sound to follow, how could he possibly handle it? As if mocking her, the trees shook violently all around.

The forest itself seemed to radiate malice. The half-fae, whose nature leaned closer to the natural world than to humans, frowned. Yet such malice had no effect whatsoever on a Transcendent. True to his word, Park Ha Young swiftly cleared the area and returned with a smile.

“Are you okay? Anything wrong?” His voice was gentle yet matter-of-fact—as if such extraordinary events were utterly trivial.

Cheon Shin Ah thought to herself: Shouldn’t I be surprised by now? Wouldn’t an ordinary person question why I’m perfectly fine while everyone else collapsed? But Park Ha Young, thick-headed as concrete, seemed utterly oblivious to the situation.

She worried how someone so dull and naive could possibly survive in this world. Cheon Shin Ah nodded. “I’m fine.” Indeed, just as she said, she appeared completely unharmed.

The strange aura swirling through the forest gradually faded. As the ominous violet and blue glows slowly dissipated, the place became an ordinary, dimly lit forest—though it did have its share of peculiar plants.

Like fog lifting, her vision—once limited to barely a step ahead—suddenly cleared. Right before them lay a graveyard. Both Park Ha Young and Cheon Shin Ah stared at it with equally displeased expressions.

“Wow… this is quite the sight.”
