Seduced the Doomed Villain (Completed Main Story) - Chapter 9
Roderic’s attitude of building a wall made one side of her chest go cold.
“Curse. Don’t you want to get rid of it? You don’t want to die, right?”
“Not really. I don’t care much about dying.”
Ha, just look at this man. A faint twitch appeared at the corner of Diana’s lips.
“Maybe you don’t care, but I do!”
His indifferent, utterly unresponsive expression made a surge of hot emotion well up inside her.
I’d at least thought you were in the same position as me—both of us mere extras, living on borrowed time, where death at any moment wouldn’t be surprising.
“I don’t want to die. Not again, not with that kind of pain….”
I don’t want to die. Never again. Diana grimaced and swallowed the rest of her words.
At some point, she’d come to assume he’d naturally cooperate—despite their different circumstances and thoughts. She’d mistaken his willingness to accept her as something more.
Maybe she’d unknowingly placed her trust in Roderic.
In desperation, she grabbed him by the collar. When had her heart grown so weak? Had her spirit deteriorated along with her physical strength?
She felt tears welling up. Not wanting him to see her expression, she lowered her head deeply.
“…….”
“…….”
Her delicate hand gripping his collar trembled faintly.
Is she crying again? Roderic had expected that nonchalantly, but soon enough she abruptly lifted her head—and she wasn’t crying.
Her eyes, more vivid and lively than ever, pleaded with him.
There wasn’t a trace of resignation or negativity in her.
“Sorry, but I need you.”
“Aren’t you past the age for throwing tantrums, Your Highness?”
“Roderic Schwarz. This isn’t a plea—it’s a proposal.”
“That proposal doesn’t seem appealing to me.”
“I’ll make you an offer you’ll find appealing.”
Her unusually pale skin made her pink irises appear flushed red at the edges.
Even though Diana’s appearance stirred protective instincts, he felt no particular emotion.
He simply absentmindedly stroked her hair, which faintly shimmered a deep violet—an odd gesture, considering he usually despised physical contact.
Beneath his black glove, her hair flowed softly, spilling over the blanket like the night sky of the northern lands.
“Fine. I want to live.”
“Yes, I want to live.”
He recalled a young woman who’d once clung desperately to him, begging not to die. She’d been ugly and unpleasant.
But this woman before him radiated light even as she yearned for life—overflowing with vitality born from her deep attachment to it.
Was she truly different?
Just having Diana nearby seemed to be changing him—making him utterly unlike his usual self, who was always so sensitive and guarded.
His mind felt calm, yet an unfamiliar sensation crept in, making him uneasy. Frowning briefly, he felt another kind of loss of control.
“Glaring at me like that won’t help. I can’t back down either. I’m staying with you—no matter what. I won’t leave.”
“Regardless of your proposal… for now, I understand that you, Your Highness, must absorb the curse.”
At his words, Diana’s eyes widened hopefully. Had he finally understood? But her spirits sank again at what followed.
“But you, Your Highness, are nothing but a hindrance to my mission.”
Right—he’d mentioned he was on a confidential assignment. From what she could tell, it involved a small, elite team.
In a mission prioritizing mobility, a child and a woman would only be dead weight.
Diana quickly made her decision and swallowed hard. She needed to choose her words carefully.
She had to prove her usefulness and, by any means necessary, stay with Roderic.
Leaving his side wasn’t an option right now.
When you’re the one who needs something, you swallow your pride—what else could she do?
“Can you tell me what this confidential mission is about?”
“Don’t you understand the meaning of ‘confidential,’ Your Highness?”
Who does he think he’s talking to? He spoke in that irritatingly condescending tone. Diana shot him a sharp glance.
“That mister is looking for his little brother!”
Both Diana and Roderic turned their gazes toward Noel simultaneously.
Trending
“Little brother?”
“Kid, where did you hear that?”
Despite Roderic’s serious question, Noel beamed innocently, clearly thinking, “If it helps Diana, why not?”
“I heard the mister talking about it during dinner!”
“Sigh.”
Roderic dragged a hand down his face with an expression full of unspoken complaints. His restrained aura was frighteningly intense. Hmm… my condolences to the knights.
But a younger brother?
“Felice Schwarz is missing?”
“…….”
In the original story’s timeline, Felice Schwarz was the successor to the dukedom and a rival to the crown prince.
Shouldn’t he be quietly staying in the north right now?
It was puzzling that they’d come to this place known as the Black Forest—a den teeming with monsters, utterly inhospitable to humans.
The northern knights certainly wouldn’t bother launching a purge here.
“The young master is here?”
“I’ve nothing more to say, Your Highness.”
Though it was clearly his younger brother’s runaway incident, it wasn’t something to reveal to outsiders.
Yet this woman’s eyes shone even brighter.
“I’ll help! In return, let us come with you.”
“No.”
Despite his firm refusal, Diana pressed on undeterred.
“Roderic. This proposal will appeal to you too. Remember, I said I can see magic power? We can use it to locate the young master.”
She’d only just learned this herself, but every person possessed their own unique magical signature.
Though extremely faint, it wasn’t entirely undetectable.
Since she could see it directly, she’d be more useful than even well-trained knights relying on intuition.
“You haven’t found him yet because you couldn’t pinpoint his location, right?”
Diana was correct. Inside the Black Forest, the signal from his brother’s earring had abruptly cut out.
But wandering through the Black Forest wasn’t much of an issue for them.
Their real concern was whether his brother was still alive. Even if weak, as a Schwarz, he should last a while.
“Do I have to say it twice? You’re nothing but dead weight, Your Highness.”
“I’ll handle my own part. Just let me… touch your body. Noel may be young, but he’s a mage—a valuable asset, right?”
“Yes! I’m not dead weight!”
Noel shot up his hand enthusiastically. Roderic looked at him, then back at Diana, feeling oddly disoriented.
“Was there something… inappropriate just now?”
“Oh, you mean touching your body?”
“Have you no sense of shame, Your Highness?”
As a noble lady, she showed no embarrassment—in fact, she seemed downright confident.
“When lives are at stake, who cares about that? So… does that mean you’re allowing it? Both staying with you and touching you?”
“…….”
“Not that I’m trying to brag, but don’t forget—you owe me your life.”
“……Fine. I owe you.”
As his strikingly handsome face drew closer, Diana tensed and gulped.
Overwhelmed by his presence, she instinctively let go of his collar.
Thud. Their foreheads bumped. Before she could even process what happened, Roderic muttered,
“No fever.”
“Hmm. It doesn’t hurt.”
He couldn’t possibly think she’d been delirious from pain all this time, could he?
“Right. So it wasn’t nonsense after all.”
She held her breath. Could this man read minds?
“It’s all written on your face—stop overthinking.”
Haha, right? Diana gave an awkward, embarrassed laugh.

“I’d like to know—assuming I gave permission, how far would you go?”
“Skinship?”
“Yes.”
If she admitted they’d already kissed—though technically it wasn’t a proper kiss since nothing soft actually touched—would he get angry? Guilt prickling, Diana averted her pink eyes sideways.
Displeased, he caught her chin with his gloved hand.
“Why?”
His breath brushed between their lips, perilously close.
“You were so confident a moment ago.”
The man radiated the aura of a wild beast, overwhelmingly sensual—enough to steal her breath.
She felt like he might devour her any second.
“Ahem. Captain, what are you doing?”
The heavily bearded man stood awkwardly frozen, his pupils practically trembling.
He’d quietly entered at some point and was now firmly covering Noel’s eyes with a large hand.
“Why?”
“For heaven’s sake, show some restraint in front of a child! Even if you’re in your prime, this is too much. Ahem.”
Before the man could finish, Roderic arched one eyebrow.
Their posture certainly warranted such remarks—it looked highly improper.
Holding the girl seated on his lap, his gaze burning, Roderic appeared ready to act on his desires any moment.
Yet with his trademark indifference, Roderic stared back as if asking, “What’s the problem?”
“Well… I just meant, you know, with a child present and all—it might harm his sensibilities. Be careful, that’s all.”
“Get to the point.”
Since that wasn’t the answer he wanted, it meant: shut up and say what you originally came to say.
“The rain’s stopped, and you must be hungry—shouldn’t you eat something?”
“Bring it here.”
“No!”
Diana, who’d been silently listening, suddenly spoke up. She couldn’t accept special treatment here.
Having already decided she needed to bond with the knights to travel with them, she gently pushed Roderic’s face away and replied,
“We’ll go out ourselves. Thank you, Sir.”
“Oh… sure.”
The man answered reluctantly, glanced around awkwardly, and left—but not before making sure to take Noel with him.
Ugh. Diana stood up from Roderic’s lap, stretching her stiff legs.
She must have been sitting there a long time—her legs ached. Still, she was grateful her body was recovering. With this much stamina, she wouldn’t be dead weight.
“You’re going out dressed like that?”
Under the blanket, she wore only a thin nightgown—the same one she’d woken up in back at the castle.
At least she had a pair of sturdy boots her size. As long as her feet were safe, she’d manage.
Diana shrugged.
“I’ll just wrap the blanket around me.”
Roderic, who’d been resting his chin on his arm propped against his knee, let out a deep sigh.
He stood, draped his heavy tunic over her, then wrapped his robe around her as well.
Naturally, his subordinates were stunned when he placed the blanket over her legs right in front of the campfire encircled by knights.
“They say if you do something you’ve never done before, you’ll die.”
“Shut up if you don’t want to die right now. Look at the captain’s eyes.”
“Mind your own business. The captain’s always had that look in his eyes anyway.”
Hearing the knights’ irreverent chatter beside him, the new recruit felt his soul leave his body.
Are these people insane? Is that really something you say in front of your captain?
Meanwhile, a youthful knight sipping his portion of soup glanced sideways at Diana seated next to Roderic.
Having lived his whole life in a northern village, he’d never seen anyone so breathtakingly beautiful.
Even the village’s famed beauty couldn’t rival this young lady. Was this what nobles from the capital were like?
“Daren, until we find Felice, the young lady and the young master will accompany us.”
Before Daren could respond, Diana spoke up first.

“Thank you, Roderic! Really, thank you so much!”
Wow. The young knight’s jaw dropped at her radiant smile—as if she owned the whole world.
