Seduced the Doomed Villain (Completed Main Story) - Chapter 8
“What! Mmph!”
Diana, her face buried in his soaked, clinging shirt, squirmed in his arms. The more she struggled, the tighter he gripped her back.
“Rodric?”
“…….”
Diana glanced up at his silent face, then gave up and rested her head against his chest. Since things had come to this, she might as well top up on the curse.
“What does this mean? Can someone really change this much just by sleeping and waking up? You hated it so much when I used to cling to you like this.”
“So.”
His rough voice cracked at the end in a strangely pleasant way.
“Do you dislike it?”
“No. Who ever said I disliked it?”
At those words, Diana pressed herself even closer against him, prompting Rodric to let out a small chuckle.
An infuriating woman—though now revised in his mind to a not entirely unpleasant one.
He didn’t mind the weight of her pressing against him.
Was this tranquility—the mutual warmth offering comfort—really so peaceful?
It was a calm he’d never found, even as he wandered battlefields consumed by bloodlust, his whole body screaming in agony.
For the first time in his life, he felt true serenity.
“…….”
Rodric, momentarily lost in sentiment as he gazed up at the full moon, suddenly sensed something off and furrowed his brow.
“My lady?”
“…….”
Diana, who had been chattering just moments before, had fallen silent. Rodric rose and checked on her.
Her thoroughly soaked body was cooling down, yet burning with fever.
Her face, asleep but flushed deeply, glowed red.
Tsk. He clicked his tongue and removed the pendant tied around her wrist. Rodric quickly shattered the pendant enchanted with a location-tracking spell.
It was an emergency signal—his subordinates would arrive soon.
Keeping watch ahead, Rodric propped Diana against a seemingly safe corner of a tree and lit a fire.
In a dark, monster-infested forest, lighting a fire was practically suicide—but monsters posed no threat to him.
His upper garment was nowhere to be seen, nor his sword. Yet even in this defenseless state, he remained calm.
He took off the thin shirt he’d been wearing, wrung it out tightly, and draped it over Diana.
He couldn’t imagine how she’d managed to escape the castle alone. Who would believe a woman dragged out an unconscious man all by herself?
Her frail body looked as if it might snap at the slightest touch—clearly malnourished. He now owed her, unintentionally.
Rodric turned his gaze toward the lake, whose waters shimmered as vividly blue as his own eyes.
His deep blue irises darkened into something unfathomable. Did that lake connect directly to the castle?
Considering her soaked state and what Diana had said, it was easy to infer—inside water, even a man’s body could move effortlessly.
“Captain!”
Just as he was lost in thought, a familiar voice called out. His subordinates arrived with the clanking of armor.
When Rodric turned his head and met their eyes, they all froze in unison.
More precisely, they halted dead in their tracks at the sight before them.
“Uh… th-th-that…”
One stuttered incoherently until another shoved him aside and spoke.
“Did we interrupt something?”
Rodric swept back his raven-black bangs, revealing eyes colder and more murderous than ever.
His glare alone screamed, “What the hell are you talking about?”
“No! It’s only natural we’d misunderstand seeing our captain half-naked like this!”
Before the crackling campfire stood a bare-chested man, with a woman lying beside him wrapped in his shirt—looking every bit like an affectionate couple.
The problem? That man was their captain.
The leader who commanded ruffians equal to the Imperial Knights—the captain of the Duverke Knights—Rodric Schwarz himself!
And to top it off, he’d stretched out one leg, letting the woman rest her head on his thigh.
That heartless, tearless man had actually allowed a woman into his personal space.
A lap pillow! A literal lap pillow! His subordinates were utterly shocked—it was a monumental event.

“Wow, even our captain’s finally got spring in his step.”
“I thought he’d live alone forever.”
“Ugh. Damn. I’m jealous.”
“Meanwhile, I haven’t even seen a wife yet.”
“Quiet.”
At his low command, every sound vanished instantly.
Rodric dismissed his men with a single word and raised his hand. At his signal, the deputy captain stepped forward.
Simultaneously, Noel, who had been holding the deputy captain’s hand, hurried over.
“Sis!”
Before the child could reach Diana, a large hand suddenly clamped down on Noel’s small head.
“Be quiet. Who are you?”
“…Her younger brother?”
Seeing Diana collapsed, the boy’s pale face quickly turned sullen as he glared up at Rodric.
His strangely gleaming red eyes were threatening—though his chubby cheeks and short frame were anything but intimidating.
“The Beatus family only has one youngest daughter—the princess. Do they have a bastard child?”
The deputy captain, who had stayed quietly aside, added softly,
“He’s said to be an illegitimate child of House Beatus. According to our prior investigation, he disappeared immediately after entering the family register and couldn’t be found—apparently, he’d been trapped here all along.”
“Was the Beatus family’s princess also reported missing?”
“This lady is the Beatus family’s young mistress?”
“Yes.”
“Our last report just before departure mentioned no abnormalities.”
The four Beatus siblings were famous throughout the empire. While the three elder brothers were renowned for their fearsome reputations, the youngest princess was equally famous—but for entirely different reasons.
Despite belonging to a powerful family, the princess remained secluded in the mansion, never stepping outside.
Rumors claimed she was hideously plain compared to her brothers, suffered from an incurable disease, or bore some disability.
No matter how wild the rumors grew, the family never clarified or denied anything—they simply ignored it all, which only fueled more gossip.
Contrary to those rumors, she was stunningly beautiful. Had the claim about her staying in the mansion also been a lie?
Perhaps she’d been imprisoned here the entire time. He’d need to investigate thoroughly once they returned.
“Mister.”
Rodric, organizing his thoughts, twitched his eyebrows at the unfamiliar address.
“Could you let go of my head?”
He hadn’t even realized he was still holding the child’s head. Rodric’s brows furrowed in irritation.
“Daren.”
He rarely went barehanded. The deputy captain quickly handed him his black gloves—he had an aversion to touching anything with his bare hands.
When the deputy also offered his spare overcoat, Rodric gave a slight nod, signaling instructions.
Regardless, Noel checked on Diana’s condition.
As his small palm touched Diana’s cheek, her raging fever instantly subsided. Her breathing stabilized, and his red eyes confirmed the flow of magic within her.
Apparently, she’d absorbed unstable magical energy and strained her body. Noel’s gaze naturally shifted toward Rodric.
A man afflicted with a dreadful curse.
Though necessary for Diana, he didn’t sit well with Noel—something indefinably unpleasant stirred within him.
“What’s with you, kid?”
“I’m Noel. We need to move sis to somewhere warm. It’s going to rain soon.”
A chilly wind swept by, and dark clouds gathered, beginning to obscure the moon.
[This is the timeline separator]The sound of rain gently roused Diana from sleep. There was no pain. Whenever she opened her eyes, fear usually came first.
Ah—just yesterday, she’d cried from that vague dread of how much more pain today might bring.
Right. I died—and came back to life.
But who on earth…? The castle’s owner had red eyes—a trait unique to the Beatus family in this empire.
Diana scanned her blurry surroundings, then lifted her head.
A strong arm supported her limp body.
“Rod… ric?”

He was a man of unreal beauty, with a sharp jawline, holding her securely in his lap.
“Sis!”
“Noel?”
Her vision focused, and her mind cleared.
“How did you get here?”
“Sis, are you okay?”
“Yeah… I don’t hurt, but….”
Her body wouldn’t move. Sensing something strange, Diana looked down at herself.
“Uh, Rodric… what is this?”
He stared back as if asking what her problem was—seriously, could he please explain with words?
She was wrapped tightly in a blanket, swaddled like a newborn, nestled in Rodric’s arms.
What on earth was going on? Could someone please explain? Just then, she met eyes with a dignified-looking man entering the cave.
“Ah—you’re awake, my lady. I am Daren Rauf, deputy captain of the Duverke Knights.”
Fine. Since nobody else would speak, she’d have to ask him.
“Um…”
“I’ll wait outside.”
“Yes, the tent’s set up. We’ll take turns standing guard on our way back.”
Diana frowned as she watched the disciplined man leave, bewildered.
“Rodric, please explain what exactly happened.”
“Well, now that the princess is awake, care to explain? Why must I keep holding her like this?”
Repeatedly cut off, Diana clamped her mouth shut.
Rodric and Noel locked eyes, glaring at each other as though in a silent duel.
“Because Sis needs your curse, mister.”
“…….”
Noel… isn’t that oversimplifying it too much? You should explain more clearly.
“…I see.”
He’s accepting this so easily? But your madness curse is supposed to be a secret—everyone believes it’s a hereditary illness, not a curse. Isn’t it suspicious that we already know?
“So that’s why you clung to me so sneakily?”
“When did I—mmph!”
“Be quiet, princess.”
Rodric, wearing black gloves, firmly pinched both of Diana’s cheeks.
“Sis is sick. If she doesn’t absorb the curse, she’ll die. And if your curse grows stronger, you’ll die too, won’t you?”
“My curse can be transferred.”
“But transferring it to someone else won’t make the curse disappear, right?”
Rodric’s lips curved upward in faint amusement. Though subtle, Noel didn’t miss it.
“So?”
“If Sis stays with you, we can remove your curse.”
Ha. Rodric, who had been dealing with the child in complete seriousness as if the whole thing were absurd, let out an incredulous laugh.
“Do you really believe that, princess?”
Groaning, Diana wriggled both arms free from the blanket and settled comfortably, resting her head against his firm chest.
“I do. I can see it with my own eyes.”
“What?”
“I can see the magic leaving my body—and I can see the curse within you.”
“Is that a Beatus trait? So this kid’s a mage, then?”
“Uh—you already knew?”
“I saw this kid cast healing magic on you.”
Noel, seemingly unconcerned about secrecy, simply nodded.
Hmm, but Noel—aren’t you a bit smaller now? Did you shrink from five years old to three, or is that just my imagination?
Noticing her gaze, Noel grinned sweetly.
“I’ve heard enough. At dawn, Princess and young master, Daren will escort you out of Black Forest. After that, he’ll arrange a carriage to take you all the way to the capital.”

Diana abruptly sat upright at his indifferent tone.
“Did I hear you right?”
“And?”
“Well—it’s because we need you! And you need me too!”
He tilted his head slightly.
“Why would I?”
His blue eyes instantly turned icy, as if they’d never shown a moment’s vulnerability.

Male lead Asks for a Divorce Every Day
It’s not often you come across a plot like this in the female-dominant genre — make sure to check it out!

This is a novel I’m planning to reread as well.
The male lead is strong, skilled in martial arts, and not the usual fragile type you often see in matriarchal novels.
Meanwhile, the female lead is a scientist—rational and logical. Even when she falls for the male lead, she doesn’t let her emotions cloud her decisions.
If you push through the first few chapters, you’ll gradually find the story really intriguing.
It has a mix of mystery, detective elements, and romance.
The author’s writing style is like crafting a puzzle—except they deliberately leave out a few pieces, making it hard to predict what happens next, yet keeping you hooked.
In the end, everything will come together and be explained.
One-sentence summary: Wife, stop playing with beakers and look at me!
In a laboratory accident, research scientist Zhu Wansheng accidentally travels to a matriarchal world. The original owner of the body is an eighteen-year-old only daughter of a wealthy rouge merchant, already married with a handsome young man.
Zhu Wansheng grins: Nice! She always said she was heaven’s favorite granddaughter. After a life of toil in her previous life, she can enjoy blessings in this one.
However, her joy lasts no more than three seconds as bad news arrives: the original owner’s family is about to go bankrupt, and her husband wants a divorce.
Even worse, she’s stuck with a research system full of restrictions.
Zhu Wansheng: ? Is this the destiny of a research dog?
——
Faced with this mess, Zhu Wansheng pours herself a bowl of wine to drown her sorrows. In her drunken haze, her husband arrives.
His figure is imposing, holding a long sword, with a dignified air that captivates Zhu Wansheng.
Gu Yingqing, however, looks at the alcohol-reeking Zhu Wansheng with undisguised disgust and coldly asks, “Divorce or not?” The intoxicated Zhu Wansheng mumbles vaguely, “I think… it’s not… it’s not… impossible!”
——
The next day, after sobering up, Zhu Wansheng is full of energy, rolling up her sleeves ready to make a big move. As for yesterday? She has no memory of it.
Zhu Wansheng is ambitious; a research dog fears nothing!
Upgrading rouge, extracting fragrances, producing perfumes, researching lipsticks… all shall bow to the power of modern technology!
The original owner’s dying rouge shop is revitalized. Her mother is pleased and with a wave of her hand, passes on the family business to her. As she takes control and her experimental results gain popularity, it’s the pinnacle of her life…
——
But there are always those who can’t stand to see her doing well. Jealousy, scheming, assassination attempts – they want nothing less than her life.
The person who has always kept his distance from her suddenly holds her tightly in his arms, eyes full of concern.
She is unharmed, but he falls into a pool of blood…
Zhu Wansheng feels guilty, “I can grant you one wish.”
Gu Yingqing tentatively circles his arms around her, carefully resting his head in the crook of her neck, pleading softly, “I regret it. Can we not divorce?”
Zhu Wansheng: ? When did I agree to a divorce?
[Small Theater]
The newly developed rouge is beautifully packaged, and Zhu Wansheng is eager to try it.
Gu Yingqing suddenly appears: “My lady, may I apply it for you?”
Cool fingertips lightly brush her lips. His Adam’s apple bobs as he leans in for a light bite.
Zhu Wansheng: ?
Gu Yingqing: It smells so good, I wanted to taste it…
On a warm spring day, Zhu Wansheng tries a new perfume: “Spring Night.” Gu Yingqing corners her against a wall.
Warm breath lingers on her neck.
“My lady, from now on, may I test the fragrances for you?”

Who is Noel really? Also, does Rodric even want the curse gone? He acts like he doesn’t. But maybe he just doesn’t want to be indebted to Diana or he doesn’t believe it’s possible for the curse to be gone completely without his death?
Miioo
Why do I feel that Noel is the one who cast the curse and knows everything?
