Diana felt genuine admiration for the Head Butler, who must have spent countless hours arranging and maintaining all of this.
She had heard he had taken care of all the mistress’s duties ever since the Duchess was still alive.
It was surprising, perhaps even unexpected, that the Head Butler—whose appearance suggested a knightly disposition—would handle such delicate tasks.
