Seduced the Doomed Villain (Completed Main Story) - Chapter 1
Diana Beatus. The youngest daughter of the Beatus ducal family, she considered herself utterly ordinary.
Why?
Because the eldest brother, as the firstborn, firmly held the heir’s position, leaving no room for succession disputes,
and the second child, her elder sister, dominated the central social circles, so Diana never needed to attend social gatherings.
Moreover, the third child, her younger brother, bore the family’s military duty as its representative, so there was no place for an ordinary youngest child like her to step forward.
Though overshadowed by her siblings—renowned throughout the capital—Diana didn’t mind. In fact, she liked it. What a wonderfully comfortable life this was.
With her siblings shouldering all burdens, Diana could enjoy far greater freedom from responsibilities and obligations compared to other noble young ladies.
Those envious of such a carefree existence were quick to belittle her.
“Half-baked princess.”
Diana didn’t care what others said about her. She had always been the type who paid no heed to gossip anyway.
As long as she fulfilled the bare minimum duties required by her family, she could enjoy a life so blissful it bordered on indulgence.
At least, that was the case—until she contracted an inexplicable illness of unknown origin.
When was it again? Precisely three years had passed since the night the crimson moon rose, and with each passing day her strength drained away. Some days, feverish and coughing up blood, even breathing became a struggle.
That day, as usual, the physician paid his scheduled visit.
“Forgive me for repeating myself, miss, but I simply cannot fathom it. I cannot identify the cause of your illness, nor do I know of any cure. There is nothing I can do.”
He spoke regretfully, watching her confined exclusively to her bed.
She was tired of hearing the same empty words over and over.
Having stared at the ceiling with weary eyes after dismissing yet another incompetent quack, she wanted to demand—if only her voice would come out:
“Hey, Doctor. Can’t you truly see that smoke draining from my body?”
Every time her strength faded, a dark crimson smoke-like vapor rose from her body and drifted out of the mansion.
After the physician left, and while she lay unaware even of her own birthday amid excruciating agony, a maid suddenly rushed through the open door.
“Oh, miss! Something terrible has happened!”
It was pain so severe she thought it must be her final moment. She was dying.
“The eldest miss! The eldest miss has been charged with treason! His Highness the Crown Prince ordered immediate execution!”
The maid’s voice faded into the distance. Her breath ran out. At the very end of her last breath, Diana realized:
“The Crown Prince ordered immediate execution?”
Ah, damn it.
This world was from a novel.
The moment she realized she’d been reborn into the story, she died—just like that, pointlessly.
[This is the timeline separator]That novel was a gloomy romance centered around the Crown Prince and the Saintess.
Under the Saintess’s manipulative affections, multiple men vied for her attention, while the Crown Prince fought to claim her exclusively.
Meanwhile, Diana’s elder sister—the Crown Princess—was portrayed as a villainess who hanged herself over the male lead, the Crown Prince, and was executed for treason after attempting to assassinate him for not returning her love.
Her eldest brother, the family heir, was revealed as the main antagonist and gruesomely executed, leading to the complete annihilation of their once-proud noble house.
Then, who was Diana Beatus?
She was nothing more than an extra—a minor character born as the youngest child of a villainous family, appearing briefly with no real significance.
In fact, she was mentioned only once in a single line before vanishing into obscurity—a character doomed from the start.
Ha. Life.
[This is the timeline separator]“Huhuk.”
A soft sob echoed nearby.
“Huuugh.”
The sensation of floating gently upward toward the sky abruptly collapsed back to earth the moment that crying reached her ears.
Huh! She gasped sharply without meaning to. The air filling her lungs felt utterly unfamiliar.
One by one, her senses, once swallowed by darkness, began to revive.
“Ugh—!”
Her whole body ached.
Had she fallen into hell? She was dead—so why wouldn’t the pain end?
Hot tears streamed continuously from her barely opened eyes.
It hurt too much. The agony she’d felt right before death was beginning again.

“Waaaah! You can’t die! Please don’t die!”
The voice, which had been weeping desperately, suddenly shrieked aloud.
But I’m already dead! Before she could even think it, something brushed against her hand.
Diana let out a shallow breath and tightly grasped whatever had touched her.
It was pure instinct—the will to live. Buried beneath unfamiliar objects thrust into her hands, she clung to them instinctively.
Miraculously, the pain began to fade.
As the searing agony lessened, strength slowly returned to her grip.
“Waaah! Don’t leave me alone! Sister!”
She didn’t know how much time had passed. Once the pain subsided and calm returned, Diana blinked her heavy eyelids and slowly focused her vision.
‘Am… I alive?’
“Hic. Hic.”
Buried under things all over her body except her face, Diana turned her head toward the sound of quiet sniffling.
It was a little boy.
Plump cheeks, delicate features—his enormous eyes, taking up nearly half his face, brimmed with tears.
The moment their eyes met, the boy started trembling and crying again.
“Who… ahem.”
“I-I’ll get some water!”
He looked about five or six years old—a boy with red eyes and gray curls who quickly scampered off, fetched a cup, and filled it with water.
When she sat up, she finally saw what had been covering her body.
“Huh! What… is this?”
Every last one was a grotesque, eerie-looking doll—the kind that would surely give you nightmares if you slept beside them.
Across the huge bed lay dolls straight out of a horror tale.
A chilling aura hung thick in the room. Diana swallowed hard without realizing it.
“It’s okay. They’re cursed dolls.”
Just what exactly was okay about that? The boy said it cheerfully. Pushing aside her unease, Diana accepted the cup he offered as she moved the dolls away.
The pain had vanished, but her energy was utterly spent. Her hand trembled violently just from holding the tiny cup.
Still, the water tasted sweet and refreshing.
“It’s water laced with monster venom.”
“Pfft! Cough! Cough!”
What?!
“No, no! It’s not poison! It’s medicine!”
Not poison, yet it contained poison? The flustered boy grabbed a white cloth and pressed it to her mouth.
After coughing for a long while, she finally let out a deep breath.
Could she trust him? Even when she glanced at him suspiciously, he just gave her a shy, bright smile.
For some reason, she was alive. She was certain she’d died—so this must be a resurrection of sorts.
Diana looked around. It was an unfamiliar place. The room, though antique, looked worn and faded in places.
Normally, wouldn’t she have woken up exactly where she’d died?
“Where is this? And who are you?”
“This is the Mage’s Tower. I’m Noel. Your little brother.”
The boy, who had been shyly fidgeting, now stared at her intently as he spoke.
Noel. Little brother?
The unfamiliar words hung in the air for a moment in silence.
In the original story, the Beatus family had only four siblings—including her. That had been true in reality too. How could there possibly be another sibling? It made no sense.
“Sister?”
The boy’s eyes, swollen red from crying, tilted his head in confusion—triggering a flash of memory in Diana.
The Beatus family’s illegitimate child. She’d once seen the maid abandon him after demanding money.
Of course, her siblings showed no interest, and the neglected child was soon forgotten.
Though she’d once felt pity and tried to find him, she couldn’t. Shortly after the boy appeared, she’d fallen ill.
“Diana sister?”
“Yeah. That’s right. Noel.”

Perhaps because she’d acknowledged him, his crimson eyes—the hallmark of the Beatus bloodline—sparkled brightly.
For some reason, Noel, who shared a deep, unspoken bond with her, brought her a small hand mirror.
She absentmindedly took it and looked at her reflection.
Hair the shade of deep violet, nearly black. Beneath arrogant, upturned eyes, pink irises added brilliance to her doll-like features.
Even her frail state couldn’t conceal her striking beauty.
“Oh. I’m back.”
This wasn’t the wretched appearance she’d had right before death.
She remembered herself then—so weak she couldn’t even swallow thin soup, skin stretched over bones, cheeks sunken like a skeleton.
Yes, she’d died just like that—the very moment she realized this was the novel’s world, lying helplessly in bed, unable to do anything.
Diana slowly opened and closed her slender hand.
Staring blankly at it, she sank limply back onto the bed. A weak, exhausted laugh escaped her lips.
She was alive. It hurt, but she could move. That was enough. To hell with the original plot. Survival came first.
Grand ambitions like saving her doomed villainous family were thoughts for when her body was healthy. Her own well-being came first.
“My sister said if I stayed quiet, she’d come back. Then I wouldn’t be alone anymore.”
Hearing Noel say he’d been locked away in the Mage’s Tower, Diana’s brow furrowed slightly.
So someone had imprisoned the Beatus family’s bastard child—and even kidnapped Diana, a legitimate heir—completely outside the original storyline?
Why were things happening that never occurred in the original? She should’ve been lying in her luxurious bedroom, fused to her bed as usual.
“How long have I been here?”
“Not very long.”
The boy didn’t know the exact date, but from the rough estimate, she could piece together her current situation.
Right now, she and Noel were imprisoned together in the Mage’s Tower. The culprit remained unknown.
The massive, empty tower was sealed by an extensive barrier.
This barrier, which prevented anyone from leaving without the owner’s permission, was unlike any magic of the current age.
Mages of this era could only perform simple spells using mana crystals.
This level of magic? She’d sooner believe it came from an ancient Magetower. Even the wide-open window was blocked by the barrier.
Wind drifted in from outside—making her wonder—but her hand hit an invisible wall at the windowsill and bounced back.
Could she break through this transparent barrier? On a whim, she threw a candlestick—but it passed right through and plummeted downward.
She’d expected it to bounce off too.
As Diana watched the falling candlestick with a sense of helplessness, her pink eyes drifted upward—and locked onto the crimson moon hanging high in the sky.
“Oh, the crimson moon.”
The crimson moon had risen exactly when she first fell ill. She remembered that clearly.
That meant she’d been sent back to the very beginning of her illness.
Ha. She opened her eyes only to find herself kidnapped and imprisoned by some lunatic.
Was this the influence of a gloomy romance novel—even on insignificant extras?
Forget the original plot; her life was in immediate danger. What now? How exactly did a character doomed to die manage to survive? The original story never even hinted at a solution—it mentioned her fate in just one line.
“Sister, sister! Does it hurt again?”
Hearing her groan while clutching her head, Noel hurried over carrying a cursed doll almost as big as himself.
Even though Diana made a disgusted face, Noel smiled brightly and tried to hand it to her.
“If you hold this tight, it’ll make the pain go away.”
“Make it go away?”
“You’re sick because your magic is draining away. These cursed dolls will help.”
A disease caused by draining magic? Even the most renowned physicians couldn’t diagnose it.
“How do you know that?”
“Because I can see it, sister.”
Thud. As soon as she placed her hand on the doll, black smoke seeped out from it and began flowing into her body. Miraculously, vitality returned to her limbs.
“Right?”
Noel smiled, his eyes crinkling meaningfully.

When male lead is the homewrecker
“I know she doesn’t love him.”
I’ve read the novel below twice already. Girls, I’m highly recommending it to you!

The female lead? Not a good person.
The second male lead? Not a good person.
The male lead? Willingly plays the third party, breaking up the female and second male lead’s relationship despite all the warnings from his friends—so yeah, he’s definitely not a good person either.
Basically, nobody in this novel is simple-minded or without scheming.
The female lead starts off as the male lead’s secretary, but don’t worry—later on, she takes over the company while the male lead steps back to support her. He won’t steal her spotlight, overshadow her, or dull her shine.
I love novels where men are out here snatching wigs, tearing each other down, and going to war just to win the female lead’s affection. And this is exactly that kind of novel. Most of Hai Dai Ran’s works have this dynamic. You’ll see the male characters’ emotions being pushed to the absolute extreme.
There’s even a scene where the second male lead exposes the male lead online for being a homewrecker. The brotherhood immediately gangs up on him, dragging him through the mud. I find it compelling —it completely flips reality on its head, where usually, women are the ones fighting over a man and getting torn apart by the sisterhood.
For me, female leads in the novels I read should only struggle in their careers, not in love. But if the brainless romantics in the story are all men? I have zero complaints.
I’ve pretty much read all of Hai Dai Ran’s novels and even translated all of them—her works are just my thing. I’ll slowly upload everything here. One day, when my website is official, I hope I can invite her to join as one of the star authors.

And since Noel’s magic wasn’t omnipotent, he couldn’t break the barrier.
I’m suppppeerr curious about Noel. How did he know Diana was his sister? How did he survive in this tower alone? Has he been alone this whole time? Why does he automatically have affection for Diana? So many questions!
