After Ji Ho left, I Su sat blankly for a long while.

‘I should eat dinner, shower, and sleep.’

She knew what she had to do, but her body wouldn’t move an inch.

She wasn’t hungry; what she desperately needed was sleep.

‘Ji Ho will come in the early morning, so I should at least wash up before passing out.’

With half-open eyes, I Su staggered into the bathroom, quickly showered, and crawled onto the bed.

36 hours on duty, 38,000 steps. If her energy was 100% when she left for work yesterday morning, only 2–3% remained now.

The fatigue she had briefly forgotten while seeing Ji Ho crashed over her whole body like a wave.

The moment her head touched the pillow, she fell asleep.

Ji Ho stopped by his place, showered, changed into comfortable clothes, then opened the door across the hall.

After living next door for five years, the boundary between their homes had blurred at some point; they treated the front doors like regular ones and came and went freely.

Naturally, I Su’s things found their place in Ji Ho’s house, and Ji Ho’s things claimed space in I Su’s.

When one of them was away, they stayed at their own place, but on days like today when both were home, they almost always spent the night together.
