Romance for You (Completed Main Story) - Chapter 15
When Lee Su opened her eyes again, she saw the blue sky.
How long had she slept?
She’d fallen into a deep, hazy sleep, dazed from the medicine.
I really am something.
Even though I knew perfectly well this was Seo Ji Ho’s place, how could I fall asleep this comfortably?
Everything that happened last night felt distant, like a dream.
Lee Su checked her phone.
There were several unread texts and missed calls from Soo Min.
Since there was no call from her dad, Soo Min must have made up some excuse in between.
Without checking the messages, Lee Su closed her phone.
It had been awkward enough waking up in the dim dawn, but now facing Ji Ho again in the bright morning—when everything felt so vivid—was utterly overwhelming.
She had to leave… yet…
Lee Su let out a long sigh and got out of bed.
Hesitating in front of the firmly shut bedroom door, she eventually headed into the bathroom.
Her hair, soaked from the rain the previous night, was a mess from dried sweat.
She didn’t particularly want to use Ji Ho’s bed and now his bathroom too, but she had no other choice.
Lee Su washed up thoroughly and changed into the clothes Ji Ho had given her.
**
Why was she so nervous?
Lee Su took a deep breath in and out, then opened the door.
Stepping outside, she gaped at the sight before her eyes.
In the open, spacious room stood a majestic grand piano, and beyond it, through the expansive curved glass wall of the living room, the Han River sparkled like jewels, unfolding like a panorama.
Fluffy white clouds floated so close they seemed within arm’s reach, proof of the dizzying height.
Still captivated by the breathtaking view, Lee Su slowly turned her head.
When she lowered her gaze slightly, she saw Ji Ho lying on the long sofa, asleep without even a blanket.
“Because of me, all this…”
She suddenly felt even more guilty for having taken over Ji Ho’s bed all night.
Lee Su took a blanket from the room and carefully draped it over him, making sure not to wake him.
Unfiltered sunlight mercilessly shone down on Ji Ho’s sleeping face.
His face, unmoving and deeply asleep, looked like a beautiful painting—so bright it almost hurt to look at.
Lee Su placed both of her palms side by side above Ji Ho’s face, casting a shadow.
Feeling entirely responsible for him sleeping like this, she wanted to do something—anything—for him.
As she quietly gazed down at his shadowed face, she couldn’t help but let out a soft sigh of admiration.
Honestly, his face was utterly mesmerizing.
Lost in staring at Ji Ho as if spellbound, unaware of time passing, Lee Su squeezed her eyes shut and stood up abruptly.
‘This really isn’t the time to be admiring Seo Ji Ho’s face. What should I do? I can’t just wake him up while he’s sleeping like this.’
Just then, her wrist was suddenly caught by a large hand and yanked downward.
“Oh!”
In an instant, Lee Su plopped down onto the edge of the sofa.
Right beside Ji Ho’s waist, as he lay there.
“Where were you going?”
Startled, she looked down to meet Ji Ho’s eyes—he was still lying on the sofa, wearing a drowsy, lazy expression.
“…Weren’t you asleep?”
“How could I sleep with you staring at me like that?”
His voice was low and slightly raspy as he spoke with a crooked smile tugging at the corner of his lips.
Fatigue still lingered in his face, though he looked as stunningly handsome as ever.
“I wasn’t staring… I was just covering you with a blanket.”
Lee Su’s cheeks flushed red instantly from embarrassment.
She could literally feel the heat rising to her face—Ji Ho must have seen it clearly too.
Ashamed and wanting to run away, she tried to dodge the topic.

“Really? Your gaze felt so intense I couldn’t even open my eyes.”
Ji Ho looked at her with a teasing expression.
On Lee Su’s already flushed face, a flicker of injustice now layered over her flustered expression.
Maybe she hadn’t looked at him that intensely after all.
She had looked, yes—but apparently not with that kind of burning intensity.
“Don’t sneak peeks. Just look openly. I don’t mind you looking at me—in fact, I like it.”
“When did I ever sneak a look…”
Lee Su’s slightly sullen expression only made Ji Ho’s face break into an irrepressible smile.
“Heh heh. Okay, okay. I’ll take it back—it didn’t happen.”
As Lee Su rolled her eyes and turned her head slightly away, Ji Ho caught a familiar shampoo scent from her hair.
Her ends were still damp from not being fully dried, and she was wearing the T-shirt he’d given her.
“You washed up. And the clothes suit you better than I expected.”
He looked her over carefully, as if appreciating a fine view.
Lee Su usually wore no makeup, so she didn’t look drastically different—but her freshly washed face seemed somehow clearer, more transparent.
She looked so peaceful, it was hard to believe she was the same person who’d collapsed unconscious last night—perhaps thanks to the medicine’s effect.
Ji Ho had worried she might toss and turn all night, struggling to sleep in his unfamiliar, uncomfortable bed, but apparently, that hadn’t happened.
He couldn’t take his eyes off Lee Su’s pure, clear face.
“Yeah… But you said you’d sleep in the next room. Why are you sleeping here?”
Lee Su’s face clouded with renewed guilt.
His drowsy expression suggested he still hadn’t gotten enough rest.
“I lay down for just a moment and fell asleep. I was trying to keep watch so you wouldn’t leave without me noticing.”
Ji Ho gave a soft chuckle, then reached out and covered Lee Su’s forehead with his palm.
His large hand reached all the way to the tip of her nose.
“Your fever seems to have gone down. Are you feeling better now?”
“I feel much better.”
His hand gently slid sideways, cradling her cheek.
Then, frowning slightly, he murmured,
“…It’s a shame such a pretty face got hurt.”
Lee Su flinched at the light touch of his fingers spreading gently across her skin.
She wanted to pull away, but her body wouldn’t listen—as if frozen in place.
For the first time, she truly understood what it meant to be utterly unable to move.
Each time his fingertips brushed her cheek, warmth bloomed deep inside her.
Her gaze, growing awkward, darted helplessly through the empty air.
“Who did this to you? I want to scold them.”
His dark eyes stared intently at her.
Though his lips curved slightly into a smile, his eyes were completely serious.
When Ji Ho looked at her as if really expecting an answer, Lee Su gave a small smile.
“I’m serious.”
Her heart fluttered at his sweet voice and gentle eyes—but this time, she didn’t look away.
They held each other’s gaze in a silence that felt like time had stopped.
It felt like she was receiving warm, comforting reassurance.
Thank you, she looked at him with eyes full of gratitude.
“Last night… was the first time. For my face to get hurt like this.”
Though it stung her pride to have to say such a thing, she didn’t want him making any wrong assumptions.
“It was just… an accident.”
Lee Su spoke as calmly as she could.
Ji Ho slowly sat up.
“If it ever happens again, come to me then too.”
“It won’t happen again. I already feel way too guilty—and grateful—toward you.”
Lee Su gave a faint smile, speaking sincerely.

“Hmm… Planning to repay me the same way again this time?”
“Huh?”
After a moment’s thought, Lee Su remembered something she’d said before and smiled slightly.
“I’ll do my best.”
“I’m looking forward to it.”
“I should go now. Go back to your room and sleep comfortably.”
“Have breakfast before you leave. I don’t want to eat alone.”
Before Lee Su could get up, Ji Ho rose first and headed toward the dining room.
He looked at her with an expression that clearly said, ‘This much, I can do for you’—and Lee Su didn’t dare say no.
Considering how much trouble Ji Ho had gone through, she probably ought to be the one cooking breakfast for him instead.
“Anything you can’t eat?”
“No.”
Ji Ho opened the fridge and quickly scanned its contents.
If he’d been alone, he would’ve eaten something simple—but thinking of Lee Su, who’d been sick all night, he decided warm soup would be best.
Selected ingredients were placed on the counter.
“What are you making? Can I help?”
When Lee Su came into the dining area, Ji Ho took her by the wrist and guided her back toward the bedroom.
“Dry your hair while I prepare breakfast. There’s a hairdryer in the powder room. Don’t stay damp or you’ll get sick again.”
He gently nudged her back into the bedroom, closed the door, and returned to the kitchen.
Rolling up his sleeves, Ji Ho began moving smoothly about the kitchen.
He chopped zucchini and green onions, placed a pot on the induction stove, and pulled out seasonings.
His movements were seamless—clearly not the work of an amateur.
**
Lee Su looked wide-eyed between the tteok-mandu-guk on the table and Ji Ho.
“You make something like this every morning?”
“I made it warm for you. You were really unwell, after all.”
For me? As Lee Su stared at the steaming bowl of tteok-mandu-guk, memories of feeling abandoned whenever she’d been sick suddenly welled up, making her eyes sting.
Even when she’d had the flu and suffered all night, Soo Min had only given her wary looks—worried about passing it to Yoo Mi—and had never once cooked for her.
All she ever did was pretend to worry in front of their dad.
Lee Su lowered her head briefly, swallowing the lump in her throat.
“What’s wrong—don’t you like it? Should I have made porridge instead? I only had…”
“No. I’m just grateful. I’ll enjoy it.”
Lee Su forced her voice to sound cheerful.
She hadn’t felt hungry at all, but suddenly her stomach growled.
She’d eaten dinner early the night before, so her stomach was truly empty.
She took a spoonful of the warm broth and brought it to her mouth.
“It’s delicious.”
“I’m glad.”
Ji Ho picked up his spoon with a pleased expression.
Who could have imagined that, the morning after fleeing home like a fugitive, she’d be eating tteok-mandu-guk Ji Ho had cooked just for her?
It felt unbelievable—so many astonishing things had happened in just one day.
Though the events of last night weighed heavily on her mind, just being near Ji Ho made her forget them, if only for a while.
This space with Seo Ji Ho felt like another world entirely—so unreal.
Perhaps it was his unique sense of calm slowly seeping into her.
Ji Ho could make people tense—but just as easily, he could soothe them with his own quiet presence.
They finished their meal in peaceful silence.
The hot broth spread warmth through her body, as if chasing away the last traces of her cold.
**
Because Ji Ho didn’t want to drink coffee alone either, Lee Su found herself sitting back down on the sofa.
The rich aroma of coffee filled the space.

Outside, the Han River glittered in the sunlight, with clouds and sky so close they seemed touchable.
If the place she had to return to was reality, then this place felt like a dream.
Gazing blankly out at the overwhelming view, that illusion sometimes crept into her mind.
This world—so peaceful and elegant—was utterly unlike the reality awaiting her.
“It’s incredibly beautiful.”
The words slipped out before Lee Su even realized she’d spoken.
“Come here anytime you miss this view.”
Ji Ho watched Lee Su, whose eyes remained fixed on the window.
She gave a soft smile, her gaze sweeping slowly around the living room.
“Do you play that piano?”
She asked, looking at the grand piano dominating the wide space right before the huge glass wall.
A piano like that, in a place like this…
“Yeah. And I play it pretty well too.”
“Oh… really?”
“Next time you come, I’ll play for you.”
At the word “next time,” a fleeting hint of disappointment crossed Lee Su’s face.
Why not today? she wondered inwardly—and as if reading her thoughts, Ji Ho added,
“If you want to hear it, use that as your excuse to come again. Anytime.”
He could play piano right this moment if he wanted.
But he wanted to leave a reason—however small—for Lee Su to return.
Lee Su blinked silently.
When she missed this view… when she wanted to hear piano… would she really come back?
Thinking it probably wouldn’t happen, she lifted her head—and met Ji Ho’s eyes, smiling that irresistible smile.
She thought Ji Ho himself was the most unreal thing about this place.
How many women’s hearts had he shaken with that expression alone?
He’d brought her home, let her sleep in his bed, cooked for her, shared coffee with her while gently gazing at her against this breathtaking backdrop.
And now even the piano.
If she ever fell for this man, there’d be no saving her—Lee Su turned her head away.
Ji Ho, who hadn’t taken his eyes off her until that moment, slowly opened his mouth.
“This kind of thing… was my first time too.”
Male lead is a Divorced Husband
She said to him: “Tell me, what makes you like me? I’ll change it!”

Liu Changning transmigrated into a female cannon fodder character in a female-dominant novel.
After reading the first half of the novel’s plot, the first thing she did upon transmigration was to divorce the Pan Jinlian-style male protagonist she had just married.
She indulged herself, pretending to be ugly and poor.
But as time passed, the way that man looked at her became more and more unusual…
Liu Changning was dumbfounded: Tell me, what makes you like me? I’ll change!
――
This lifetime, Pei Yuanshao was rejected by the same woman twice!
The first time, she drove him away. Forced by the situation, he endured the waves of anger in his heart, yielding and humbling himself.
That person lay slanted on a rocking chair, her sallow face emotionless: “If you don’t want a divorce, go cook!”
Pei Yuanshao’s face was dark and gloomy: “You!”
The second time, after the crisis in Jinling City was resolved, the new emperor sent someone to pick him up. He turned around, stammering: “I… I have to go. If you keep me…”
That person lay on the kang bed, her back to him, as if she had long anticipated this day, crisp and clear: “Goodbye!”
Pei Yuanshao was so angry his fingers trembled: “You… you!”
The mission of family and country made him restrain himself, averting his eyes and turning to leave this broken household.
Two years later, they met again. Seeing her ethereal face, his body shook like a sieve.
“She was originally a ‘she’!”
At the Qionglin Banquet, the top scholar of the imperial examination, a talented person with exceptional speech and conduct, all the unmarried young gentlemen from aristocratic families looked at her with shy and timid eyes.
The peerless imperial official Pei Yuanshao felt the anger in his heart erupt. He pointed at the woman surrounded by the crowd at the Qionglin Banquet, his thin lips slightly curled: “Little sister, I wants that person to be the wife-master of my Mingde Prince Manor.”
