Even now, letters occasionally arrived from ladies she had met at the spring ball. They inquired after her well-being and wished to know how life was in Dragonhold.

She wanted to host a banquet once, to invite people from the capital and dispel the misconception that Dragonhold was a harsh place.

Returning to the reception room bathed in autumn sunlight, Litania sat down and began filling in the letters on the stack of stationery atop the table.

Whenever she caught sight of the rippling maple leaves beyond the window, she thought of taking a photograph to include with her letters.

‘There are no cameras in this era… Could a magic stone somehow achieve it?’

Sometimes, she recalled the soft, blurred images of modern artifacts from her memory and spoke of them to Snow, only to realize her inability to explain them properly—and feel sorrowful for it.

“Perfect. All the invitations are written!”

Now it was time to seriously prepare for the banquet. Fortunately, the season was autumn.

The sweet scent of dried and simmered fruits from the garden never ceased drifting from the kitchen.

The chefs, led by Pepper, were eager to devise new banquet dishes upon hearing that external guests would be visiting Dragonhold for the first time.
