I turned my head away from Lilith and slipped out of the hall.

“By any chance, do I have anything else scheduled?”

I asked as I trudged alongside my handmaiden down the sparkling corridor.

No matter how young a royal might be, once they were old enough to walk and speak, they usually had at least a simple daily schedule.

“Shall I go ahead and arrange for your etiquette lessons, then?”

My handmaiden, pacing slowly to match my stride, carefully replied the moment she set foot on the stairs carpeted in red.

“Very well. Let’s stop by my room first.”

Thinking it better than rolling around in bed, I quickly agreed and adjusted my hold on Poppy.

Chirp, chirp—

Soon after, birds sang outside my leisurely reached bedroom. I glanced indifferently at the birds flitting around the pink blossoms blooming profusely beyond the window, then turned my head away.

“You look absolutely perfect!”

My handmaiden, having waited just a moment, finished fixing my hair and offered praise the instant I looked back toward the mirror.

“I prepared comfortable attire in case Your Highness might feel uneasy during lessons.”

The handmaidens clasped their hands over their chests, utterly delighted—so much so their cheeks flushed, clearly thrilled that I’d perfectly pulled off the new outfit and accessories.
