People Aren't Meant to Be Fixed! (4 Chapters Left to Complete) - Chapter 118
“No, why slap him?”
I stopped Freyrie from lunging at Sasha in anger. I understood she was upset about the Primordial Key being damaged, but taking it out on the wrong person was truly unsightly. I didn’t particularly intend to defend or protect Sasha, but Freyrie’s current behavior didn’t sit right with me.
Even when disciplining someone—whether out of anger or correction—one should first hear their reasoning before administering punishment. Though I wasn’t especially gentle, I had always followed this principle even when personally teaching Jeff and Hecate. Back when I was Emperor, I might have acted like a tyrant, frequently calling for war in the name of seeking God’s answer, but aside from matters of good and evil, I never moved without a clear reason and purpose.
I’d never resorted to corporal punishment, though I had lightly flicked someone’s forehead before—but I never used violence harshly.
In any case, even if things veered in an unwanted direction, one must never strike first with violence. Especially for someone like Freyrie or myself—since we’ve already committed many acts that fall under the category of “sin,” even if not outright murder, such behavior would only bring us trouble.
After all, I had always been reborn as a human, but Freyrie—who had repeatedly been reborn as beasts in different forms until this life, her first as a human—shouldn’t treat her own subordinate like that.
Freyrie needed to cultivate the wisdom to manage loyal servants more effectively.
“What a nuisance.”
I clicked my tongue inwardly, gripping Freyrie’s wrist and refusing to let go until she abandoned her intent to strike Sasha. Freyrie tried several times to wrench her wrist free, but when I fixed her with a stern look and a silent warning, she reluctantly ceased resisting and lowered her hand.
“Calm down first.”
Feeling that she might now be ready to talk, I tossed out a casual remark. Before releasing her wrist—just in case she decided to act out again—I squeezed once firmly, delivering a wordless warning: don’t dare misbehave recklessly in front of me; don’t do anything foolish.
“Isn’t he seeking us out precisely because he doesn’t know the reason himself?”
I narrowed my eyes slightly and tugged his arm downward; Freyrie responded by gritting her teeth. After a moment, she stepped back a few paces and rubbed the wrist I’d gripped tightly, clicking her tongue in irritation.
Her reluctant restraint clearly indicated that Sasha was the one directly responsible for managing the Primordial Key. If Freyrie herself had been overseeing it, she wouldn’t have asked whether an outsider had been let in.
Conversely, if Freyrie had secretly taken the key herself and hidden it somewhere without telling me, she would have noticed its abnormal state immediately.

An Indifferent Woman is the One Men Desire the Most
One-line summary: The female lead is actually cold-hearted and extremely rational. She has stage-by-stage relationships and won’t two-time, but there will always be someone who secretly likes her.
This novel has the following triggers, so if you’re sensitive to these, please don’t read:
1. The female lead has had many relationships, but she treated each one seriously and broke up properly.
It’s just that the men unilaterally pestered her incessantly. For the female lead, when she doesn’t like someone anymore, she simply doesn’t like them.
(This applies to her relationships with Male Lead 1, 2, 3, and 4 as well, but she’s loyal in each 1-on-1 relationship!)
2. In this novel, Male Lead 2 and the female lead kiss in a car, and Male Lead 1 sees it and beats up Male Lead 2.
The female lead calls the police and sends both Male Lead 1 and 2 to the police station! Male Lead 1 begs the female lead not to break up with him.
3. Male Lead 1 has a gentle appearance but an obsessive personality.
Male Lead 2 has a delicate and soft appearance, slightly green tea-like (two-faced).
Male Lead 3 is a youthful college student and a smart person who has secretly liked the female lead for a long time.
Male Lead 4 is the female lead’s father’s special assistant, a business elite with deep, hidden thoughts.
4. At the beginning of this novel, the female lead has already broken up with Male Lead 1 (Chapter 4) and gotten back together with Male Lead 2 (ex-boyfriend).
5. Enter with caution if you have triggers!!!
