Only after the ordered dishes came out did Hae Jin realize. She had come to pick up her clutch bag, but he hadn’t brought it with him.

“Should I order something else? Or should we move to another place?”

“Are you thirsty?”

If she said the food didn’t suit her, he still wouldn’t send her home, so she had simply chosen to drink water because she had no other choice.

“If you’re thirsty, keep drinking. You know I have trauma about cold water.”
