Office Romance Scandal (Completed Main Story) - Chapter 22
She twitched slightly, trying to slip her fingers out stealthily, but once caught, there was no chance of escape. Her hand, drained of all strength, moved exactly as he guided it.
With just his index finger between them, Tae Hong’s five fingers fully overlapped hers. Though it was only their hands touching, she felt a strong, pulsing beat—like her heart was being squeezed tight.
Inside the quiet car, the only sound was the tapping of his fingers on the screen. Thinking it couldn’t go on any longer, she tried again to pull her hand away—but of course, it wouldn’t budge.
Tension made her fingertips stiffen. Trapped, unable to act either way, her fingers moved this way and that, following his lead—just like teaching a child how to press keys for the first time.
“Deputy Manager Jeong Hae Jin kept pressing the wrong buttons.”
It wasn’t that she was pressing them wrong—her fingers were simply too quick. Still, this time he’d addressed her as “Deputy Manager Jeong Hae Jin.” Had calling her just by name earlier been a mistake?
It was foolish to fixate over something so small, over a single slip of address. It made her look like she cared too much about leftovers.
She curled the fingers of her other hand resting on her knee. Whether he noticed or not, he calmly continued entering the address. Each time he tapped a letter, the tips of her clenched fingers grew redder.
Even after the navigation began announcing their destination, Hae Jin’s hand remained trapped in his large one. Now that the address was entered, she should have pulled away—but she couldn’t.
Thump-thump.
Her heartbeat pounded so loudly she felt it echo all the way to her fingertips. She fidgeted anxiously, terrified he’d notice—especially him, who missed nothing.
“U-um, T-t-team L-leader…”
Stammering like this at a time like this! She knew she ought to stay calm and act natural, yet her mind and body stubbornly refused to cooperate.
“Let’s go.”
Tae Hong gave her hand a light squeeze—then let go. Only when his large, warm hand lifted away did she feel the cool air brush against her skin.

After Being Cheated On, She Picked Up a Treasure (Female-dominant)
One-line summary: The husband I married on a whim had been secretly in love with me for a long time.
On the day when Jun Shao finally obtained the imperial decree for her marriage, Lan Qu, the person she had admired for six years, defied the decree and ran away.
Her gentleness and devotion, her promise of a lifetime together, were all disregarded by him. Instead, he dreamed of entering the palace to serve the Emperor’s sister as a sixth-rank attendant.
News of this incident spread throughout the capital, and the alleys in front of and behind the Lan mansion were crowded with people who came to watch the commotion.
Jun Shao should have been embarrassed and angry.
But someone stepped in to protect her dignity.
The figure was in a miserable state, yet still possessed an undeniable elegance and handsomeness.
The young lord struggled to climb the wall of the Lan mansion and shouted to her, “If he won’t marry you, I will!”
So, Jun Shao took advantage of the situation and married the person.
She thought the young lord did it to save the Lan family from the crime of defying the imperial decree, but never imagined that from beginning to end, what he coveted was her.
*
After the wedding, Jun Shao felt like she was living in a dream.
Her Wife-master was as beautiful as a fairy in a painting, skilled in the six arts, well-versed in poetry and literature, capable of being gentle and attentive, and also grand and dignified. Most importantly, she was the only one in his heart and eyes.
Jun Shao didn’t know how Lan Shiwu, as a illegitimate son without a father and blessed with beauty, had managed to preserve his purity, recklessly escape, and use his last ounce of strength to ruin his own reputation, all because of his love for her, just to stand before her.
She could only see him gazing at her with eyes full of love, and when she bestowed a name upon him, his eyes shone like stars.
“You have come to me like a weary bird perching on a branch. I shall call you A Qi.”
