Sediloi let out a sorrowful, hollow laugh.

“Why would I kill you? You will not die, Jocelyn. His Majesty has already commanded it.”
He turned his head toward Harman. At that very moment, as soldiers restrained the nearly hysterical Jocelyn, Harman rose from his seat.
“I hereby deliver, on behalf of Her Majesty Elmerat—the sovereign ruler of El Bluien and my mother—the royal sentence passed upon the prisoner.”
