“I’ve heard that when someone suddenly becomes clear-headed like this, it might mean they have a fever, so I checked to see if you were running one. Fortunately, you seem perfectly fine.”

In an instant, Sediloi grinned mischievously, wrapped his arm around Meiana’s waist, and pulled her close. As his lips drew near, Meiana quickly raised her hand and firmly covered his mouth.

“Please calm down. Lady Ariante and Master Swan are still in the next room.”

“It’s quiet. They seem completely absorbed in playing.”

“Do try to consider the time and place, Your Grace.”

Meiana deliberately pushed him away with feigned coldness. Sediloi stopped pestering her and merely chuckled softly. His mind, which had felt perpetually foggy, now seemed brilliantly clear; he hadn’t felt this good in a very long time—as if he’d returned to those distant, carefree days of old.

“It feels rather refreshing when you call me ‘Your Grace.’”

“If you’d like me to keep addressing you that way, I’ll change my form of address. Truthfully, I always thought ‘Your Grace’ should be reserved solely for the king. I’m not very familiar with terms like ‘Your Excellency,’ ‘Your Majesty,’ or ‘Lady So-and-So.’”

“You may address me however you please. It’s probably best to use proper titles with others… but I’m an exception.”
