“Then shall we shower together?”

It was a gentle and captivating voice. But Tae In wasn’t fooled by it.

Showering together meant exposing every embarrassing part of herself. She had grown closer to Nok Hyeon, but not so comfortable that she wouldn’t feel awkward—quite the opposite, in fact. She always had to stay on guard, never knowing how he might suddenly change.

Tae In, her face flushed bright red, stopped Nok Hyeon’s hand as he tried to take off his shirt. Nok Hyeon wore an utterly indifferent expression, as if he’d expected exactly that—so calm it made Tae In regret having refused him.

“I’m glad you thought it through. I probably wouldn’t have been able to hold back anyway.”

After kissing Tae In’s forehead, Nok Hyeon left the bathroom.

Only after the tension-inducing presence had disappeared could Tae In finally relax her body.

Her warmed body quickly grew drowsy. Just about to doze off, Tae In lightly patted her cheeks with her hands. She must have been more exhausted than she realized.

Come to think of it, she realized she’d never once truly relaxed since moving to Seoul.

Maybe Nok Hyeon hadn’t come here just to satisfy his own desires—but to let Tae In rest, even if only for a few days.

That thought suddenly crossed her mind.

After taking her time showering, Tae In put on a bathrobe and stepped out. First, she checked for any work messages, then took a small box from her bag and looked around.

Nok Hyeon was lying on the bed, wearing a bathrobe—apparently he’d showered in the other bathroom.

She gently ran her fingertips through his slightly damp hair.

His peacefully sleeping face was truly beautiful.
