My Mistress Became My Wife (Completed Main Story) - Chapter 18
Lily left without even sparing me a glance, as if fleeing, and Harold’s eyes narrowed. His gaze, tangled with dissatisfaction, followed the trail Lily had left behind.
I never imagined Lily would be at Earl Stacy’s Mansion, so I was slightly startled by our sudden reunion—but I had no intention of acknowledging her. If it became known that we were acquainted, it would put Lily in an awkward position—and Harold himself would be just as troubled.
Perhaps Lily had ignored me for the same reason, but even so, it left a sour taste in my mouth. She could have at least nodded in greeting, yet she’d bolted off as if she’d seen a ghost. Annoyed by this, Harold twisted his lips.
If Kennedy hadn’t been holding onto his arm, Harold would have chased after Lily. He would have grabbed her small shoulders and asked why she was ignoring him.
It was a ridiculous thought. It was absurd that he, who had also ignored Lily, would ask such a question—but he was still curious about how she might react. He regretted not being able to see it for himself.
“I’m sorry, Marquis.”
Harold, still stubbornly tracking Lily’s path with regretful longing, turned his head when he heard a voice so faint it sounded as if it might shatter.
Tears had gathered in Kennedy’s large eyes. Seeing the glistening droplets reminded him briefly of Lily sobbing uncontrollably, drunk on wine.
“You must have been quite startled by the sudden situation. I’m truly sorry.”
“No, it’s fine.”
Although the situation had indeed been unexpected and surprising, it wasn’t Kennedy’s fault. His surprise was solely because of Lily.
Actually, the fact that he’d met Lily again at the Stacy estate was also part of what startled him—so perhaps it was somewhat connected to Kennedy Stacy after all.
More than that, Harold was curious about who had summoned Liliana Benjamin here and for what reason. According to his expectations, her presence at the Stacy estate made no sense whatsoever.
Lily’s relationship with Kennedy was equally puzzling. Judging solely by Kennedy’s reaction, they seemed like friends—but given how Lily had drawn a clear line, as if telling Kennedy not to act overly familiar, it was hard to say for sure.
“You seemed acquainted with the lady you just met. You called her name quite familiarly.”

An Indifferent Woman is the One Men Desire the Most
One-line summary: The female lead is actually cold-hearted and extremely rational. She has stage-by-stage relationships and won’t two-time, but there will always be someone who secretly likes her.
This novel has the following triggers, so if you’re sensitive to these, please don’t read:
1. The female lead has had many relationships, but she treated each one seriously and broke up properly.
It’s just that the men unilaterally pestered her incessantly. For the female lead, when she doesn’t like someone anymore, she simply doesn’t like them.
(This applies to her relationships with Male Lead 1, 2, 3, and 4 as well, but she’s loyal in each 1-on-1 relationship!)
2. In this novel, Male Lead 2 and the female lead kiss in a car, and Male Lead 1 sees it and beats up Male Lead 2.
The female lead calls the police and sends both Male Lead 1 and 2 to the police station! Male Lead 1 begs the female lead not to break up with him.
3. Male Lead 1 has a gentle appearance but an obsessive personality.
Male Lead 2 has a delicate and soft appearance, slightly green tea-like (two-faced).
Male Lead 3 is a youthful college student and a smart person who has secretly liked the female lead for a long time.
Male Lead 4 is the female lead’s father’s special assistant, a business elite with deep, hidden thoughts.
4. At the beginning of this novel, the female lead has already broken up with Male Lead 1 (Chapter 4) and gotten back together with Male Lead 2 (ex-boyfriend).
5. Enter with caution if you have triggers!!!
