The Chief Prosecutor stood dumbfounded, mouth agape, staring blankly at him.
“Prosecutor Choi, do you even realize just how badly you’ve messed up?”

“What? What nonsense are you trying to spout! Are you stepping in just because Jin Ra In isn’t here?!”
Tendons bulged prominently on the back of his clenched fist.
“Aren’t you afraid of repercussions, Chief? Even the Head of Legal Affairs of Taesung, whom you trusted so much, is now desperately scrambling to save their own skin.”
The Chief Prosecutor wasn’t entirely unaware. Ever since Director Na Song Gang ousted the Head of Legal Affairs, rumors had been rampant throughout the legal community that the latter no longer held any real influence.
However, the strings the Head still pulled belonged to Geum Mo Ran, and since she effectively blocked Chairman Na’s eyes and ears, the Chief Prosecutor still considered the Head of Legal Affairs somewhat useful—for now.
