Ra In hesitated in her reply, and Song Kang, about to speak and shrug his shoulders, opened his mouth—but Ra In quickly covered it with her hand.

Her palm landed directly on his lips. Song Kang stared at her, his eyes alone moving. Ra In, clearly flustered by the situation, blinked her eyes rapidly.

“Senior, I’ll call you back. Please just stay at your place for now.”

Ra In hurriedly ended the call and pulled her hand away from his lips. She tried to calm herself to make sense of the situation, but it wasn’t working well.

“What are you doing right now?”

Song Kang had wanted to ask the same question, but since he’d instigated this himself, it felt right to let Ra In ask first.

“Let’s stay together today. With me.”

Ra In paused and looked at Song Kang. Silence stretched between them. She’d never taken so long to interpret the meaning of an invitation to “stay together.”

Just then, Ra In’s phone vibrated. Since she was already holding it, she immediately noticed the incoming text and looked at the screen.

It was a message from Ha In, containing a secure link to shared information. Ra In tapped the link.

It detailed everything that had happened that day, and the more she read, the more infuriated and speechless she became. She now understood why Song Kang had held onto her. She turned her gaze toward him.

“Alright. I’ll stay with you.”

“Why are you looking at me like that?”

Unaware, Ra In had been staring at him with a pitiful expression. She quickly changed her look and shifted the subject.
