Low lighting dimly illuminated the private room. At the center of the all-black space stood a heavy marble table, atop which sat an array of luxury liquors easily worth hundreds of thousands of won each.

Beautifully dressed women sat around the table, drinking and chatting even in broad daylight.

“Mi Jin, didn’t all your apartments go up in value?”

Basking in their envy and complaints, Mi Jin masked her true feelings and turned her gaze elsewhere. Her eyes landed on someone sitting alone, aloof from the commotion.

Unlike the others wrapped head to toe in limited-edition luxury brands, this woman’s comparatively modest, neat attire and poised demeanor stood out with refined elegance.

Moreover, she remained silent, drinking only liquor on the rocks, clearly isolating herself from the group yet wearing an expression of boredom. Mi Jin found it irritating. Raising an eyebrow slightly, she deliberately called out to her.
