Lips that had served only for breathing parted. The words emerging from those small lips were rather provocative.

Every eye in the vicinity, including those of the two individuals who had dominated the dais, instantly fixed upon her.

She paid them no heed, straightening her neck and spine with unwavering poise. Her blue eyes, visible through the dense lace, sparkled one after another.

The chief priest standing before the Pope raised his voice in his stead.

Chloe did not reply rashly. She withdrew her gaze from the dais and briefly closed her eyelids.

‘That monster is mine.’

When Chloe heard the news that Kalis had been declared victor of the hunt and appointed Knight of Honor, she sensed its absurdity.

There had been only two people present that day—yet people naturally assumed Kalis was the one who had dealt with the monster.

She had abruptly confessed this to Coon as he prepared to depart for the Pantheon Temple.

Even she herself couldn’t be certain whether Coon would believe her words as truth rather than idle wind.
