As per Serena’s plan, the rumor that the knight who had come to the Astel territory was actually the Crown Prince spread like wildfire. However, instead of relishing the thought of having tricked him, the events of last night remained far too vivid for her to enjoy the current situation.
“My Lady. So many people have gathered to welcome His Imperial Highness the Crown Prince that he has personally taken the Astel Knights and is touring the territory, receiving the cheers of the people.”
In other words, thanks to Serena, Lucas was now engaged in labor that wasn’t exactly labor—but unlike her usual self, who would have giggled mischievously with a playful smile, Serena looked utterly unenthused, much to Peter’s and Anna’s surprise.

Resting her chin on her hand, which lay on the armrest of her chair, Serena muttered blankly. She seemed utterly drained, likely because she’d tossed and turned so much under the covers last night that she’d only managed to fall asleep at dawn.
“My Lady, you look terribly exhausted. Why not take a nap?”
Normally, she would have refused, citing her many duties, but this time Serena simply nodded and slowly made her way back toward the bed.
Her usual confident posture was strangely slumped, her shoulders drooping—a stark contrast to her usual self.

At the very moment Serena trudged back toward her bed, the Grand Duke Farell’s residence, right next to Astel, was thrown into utter chaos.
“What? The Crown Prince is now coming here, claiming he intends to honor his vow?”

“An engagement that’s lasted four years might as well be void—how shameless of him to show up now and demand his bride!”
