My Discarded Fiancé Returned (Completed Main Story) - Chapter 25
The first to reach the hill was naturally Lucas, who had set off even a single step earlier. However, Grand Duke Farell arrived almost simultaneously, so it could be considered a draw.
“I hear you kept proposing to my fiancée.”
“Yes. According to the customary laws of the entire continent, an engagement with no contact for over four years is null and void.”
Their exchange revealed neither side willing to yield an inch.
“My engagement was never a vow so fragile as to vanish after a mere six-year silence. Yet a man calling himself Grand Duke dares shamelessly propose to my fiancée without a shred of decency.”
“The world will decide whether that is truly shameful or not.”
Hyde was undoubtedly the most flustered by the Crown Prince’s sudden visit. Serena herself, the very person involved, felt the same—but his shock was nearly equal to hers.
Moreover, his opponent was none other than the Imperial Crown Prince. No matter how formidable the Grand Duke’s influence, an insurmountable barrier of status and rank stood between them.
“And whenever I proposed to Lady Sherwood, though she always refused me, I must emphasize this: not once was her reason ever Your Imperial Highness the Crown Prince.”
This time, it was Lucas whose teeth clenched in frustration.
“Well, of course—even if it weren’t you, she never intended to marry the Grand Duke anyway.”
Though childish, the provocation struck deep into Hyde’s chest because it was undeniably true.
“I once saw both your portraits published in the newspaper long ago. Portraits truly never resemble the real person, do they?”
There had been only one occasion when both their portraits were published together—their engagement ceremony. In other words, the Grand Duke was now dredging up Lucas’s small, unimpressive appearance from the past.
“Is that so? People never truly change. They merely go through phases of growth.”

Cold Male Lead Became My Clingy Husband (Female-Dominant)
Feng Bai Su transmigrated into a matriarchal novel, becoming the sister of the female protagonist and the Seventh Princess of the Feng Ling Kingdom.
After working herself to death in her previous life, finally reincarnating as a princess, she only wanted to be a lazy fish who could eat, sleep, and play.
Until she met the male protagonist from the book, Wei Jing Mo, and he took a liking to her!
Wei Jing Mo is the top young man in Feng Ling City, talented in both appearance and ability, from a prestigious family, with a cold and otherworldly appearance, a figure like the bright moon in the hearts of noble ladies. It was thought that only the most powerful and talented noble lady in Feng Ling City would be worthy of such a brilliant young man. Who knew that this young gentleman would secretly admire the infamous Seventh Princess?
Short scene 1:
Feng Bai Su looked at the young man crying like a pear blossom in the rain before her, and couldn’t help but doubt her life.
Wasn’t the male lead described as a cold and otherworldly figure in the book?
Then who was this poor little thing crying with swollen red eyes and tear-stained face?
Short scene 2:
Wei Jing Mo stared intently at Feng Bai Su who was about to go out, wanting to say, “Be careful on the road.”
Before he could speak, Feng Bai Su suddenly bent down and bit his cheek.
Her peach blossom eyes were full of disdain: “Tsk! You’re so clingy!”
Wei Jing Mo: “…”
A talented fox spirit female lead with a flirtatious appearance but actually abstinent VS A cold-looking but actually naive and clingy little jealous male lead

Well now you’re fighting on your own 🤭😏 and i think you won’t last either
It seems to me that Anna and the steward care more for their own preconceived notions of what happiness constitutes to them than for the version of happiness Serena wants for herself.
Go and confront him in a more honest way then 🤔 don’t use violence 🤣
